There may be a £10 grand issue with the car, or he may have been one of Northern Rock's most exposed individuals.

If this is as good as the seller suggests then I am chastened and bowed, stats007 can ridicule me at his leisure.

SOMEONE TELL ME THERE'S A CATCH SOMEWHERE PLEASE!!!!!

Well, for a kickoff, you might be ringing the 0870 (premium rate or diverted?) number just to be told there's a pricing error...............

Local Rate I believe. Does seem very cheap - but then so was that £29k GranSport.

Morken I don't need another reason to ridicule you at my leisure . Thanks for the PM by the way .

Well it's all too quiet for me, will open another bottle of red, a lot more constructive than this, will attempt to drink myself to death for a start. There are members online right now that have not posted anything intelligent since last year!

I will endeavour to come up with controversial debate soon enough, if you can offend someone here by pointing out that the Top Gear audience are idiots then ther is much fun still to be had.

A good evening to you all.

Just done an hpi report car all clear of finance and no insurance issues,  seems to me to be one of those straight ones that comes along every so often,

A very very wise old man said to me once ( a fool and his money are soon parted )  ring any bells

Regards loz

lozcb, good morning

Straight one that comes along every so often??

I've been watching this model very closely for years, this is the first time I've seen a car drop under 30 grand. I could be wrong of course but if it's not a FIRST it's hardly a very so often occurance.

I love the Evo more anyway, in an ideal world I'd garage it have a QP V as everyday wheels. The one for sale is wrong colour and wrong wheels, the size of the thing needs 19" minimum. So I'm not beating myself up he he.

Does anyone know if the shops are open today? Need to stock up on some goodies.

My drift was not specific to maserati, every so often a genuine bargain does come along ,   a lot of people justifyably  stand back and are too wary  but as i said  they are out there , one just has to check them out and do their homework first, as stats quoted their have been a couple of Gs that have gone 30k and 29k in recent weeks  , and one  low miles  GS engine running  cat d gs  ex flood  (no internal water ) in mint condition for sub 16k.

I've had a closer look at the photo. There is no uk tax disc in the window of the QP and the cars behind dont have number plates fitted - it doesn't look to me like the photo has been taken in the uk. I would be careful of this one. Being a bit cynical, I go on the basis that 'if something looks too good to be true - it usually is!'

Looks to me like its one of  the import compounds in southampton docks  could well be jersey import

Well spotted, these things would not have occured to me.

With all the uncertainty in the markets right now I think there will be an ample amount of cars sold cheap under the guise "need money for new business venture" over the next few months. New biz read "I'm 200k down and I need to sell this thing like last week!!"

Jersey cars have a 'J' prefix on the number plate, followed by numbers only, e.g. J101444. (just thought I'd help out on the detective work!)

If the car is still in the import yard when the photo was taken then I doubt there would have been time to re-register the car. And presumably the HPI shows up on the plate for the full term of the car?

Definitely something a bit fishy though. Stolen, sent abroad, and recovered?

Does seam too good to be true. Guy might just be desperate for money. Doesn't mention full main dealer history though, that would be my own only worry. Still think someone will get a bargain there!
