May I grab your thoughts on climbing upwards through the models and years when financing the passion through corporate leasing... I noticed Safrane's comments that current models run similar to today's standard cars, provided all schedule maintenance is carried out. I am hesitant about the 2005s age and 42,000klms...however it is within my budget. As I see it my options are.... Purchase the 2005 CC, add 10klms per year, conduct all scheduled maintenance and associated repairs for 2 years, then trade in to scale upwards to the 2008 Or, extend myself straight-up to the 2008, 20,000klms...conduct all scheduled services, hopefully manage less repair work and take a risk on the depreciated residual across 5 years... My aim is to try and keep the finance costs in-line with my budget....I don't necessarily see the repair kitty would change, I'm budgeting AUD$8k a year to set aside towards standard and non standard work... I know this is a difficult question...I'm just looking for advice from those who may have approached their purchases in a similar manner... I'm moving out of my Giugiaro Alpha Romeo Berra b/c they've stopped making them. I only like the masa's & just need the best route to work my way into them... Thank you

An issue you will face there is the proffit margin on two cars.

You can expect a dealer to mark up the car for a minimum of £2k, so with two purchases you are loosing £4k befor you ever drive them, [more if their proffit margin is higher] you will also have the PX loss on the first car. This could easily be a total of £6k.

Better to get the best car you can afford, regardless of age, and look at service history and condition.

Best of luck...even if the Auzis are stealing all our best Maseratis'
