Hi Folks,

After the horrible weather and dare I say using the Maser when it should have been tucked away, I noticed when I returned home, I did so 'minus' the headlamp washer jet cover (body trim piece)

Eurospares have ordered me one, (£10) and it looks simple to replace - BUT, is it ... does anyone know how ?? - I'm wondering how can I get the arm to protude & stay out to fix the new trim on it ????

Thanks as always for any advice.

PS the trim is the oval, 2" semi curved bit that hides away the washer jet ...

Paul.

So easy to do...but it takes two.

Get a friend to squirt the lights as normal, whilst you grab the offending unit as it comes out. The new one just clips on...ps you may get a little wet, but its a 5 mins job.

Hi Peter - LOL, I was thinking that and then thought 'no' can't be right .... but what do you know I was on the right line after all - I appreciate the advice and I will now do just as you suggest.

I suppose I can just keep hold of the arm? (kinda catch it) ... I won't have to keep depressing the washed whilst I do the job will I ??? - (feeling a bit dim and slightly embarrassed to ask)

Kindest
Paul.

Depends how quick you are and how slippery the unit is...once you have hold of it you do not need to carry on squirting...unless you want a shower at the same time.
