Hi Guys

Just joined this forum cos I jsut bought a 4200 CC.

Argentina blue, with Ivory leather and 33k with FMSH.

I bought it from Nuvola in West London from Nareman, who was a really nice guy. Wish I had come onto here before, and would have gotten an independant inspection if I had, but I didn't. Hopefully the FMSH and 12 month warranty will be ok.

I paid "26k for it, but it has jsut had the 31k service, and is absolutely beautiful - what can I say, I fell in love!

It has gone back to Lancaster to have the the Alloys 'smoked' some interior detailing work then, hoefully this weekend - its ALL MINE!

I am soooo excited, althought saying goodbe to my SL of 10 years will be emotional

Hi, I bought mine from Nareman as well. I've done 5,500 miles since July without a hitch. Well, not entirely without a hitch. The clutch had to be replaced 1,000 miles after I bought it but Nareman chipped in for the cost. It seems that the clutch plate had been replaced shortly before I bought the car but the flywheel and thrust bearing had not been replaced and they were worn. That just wore down the new clutch in super-quick time apparently.

Anyway, apart from that I have a beautiful and very reliable car. It'd done 18,500 miles in 7 years and has now done a further 5,500 in less than 5 months! The poor old thing doesn't know what's hit it.

Good luck with your new purchase Nahoc.

Stu

Hey there. Congrats on the purchase - it looks mega. From the picture it looks like you purchased the car from Autosportiva in Kent. How did you find them to deal with?

Hey, thanks - I'm ashamed to say I have not seen the car yet. I did try to get down, but did not get the chance. And no, I did not get an independent inspection either (cowers in the corner) but as yu say, it looks mega!

I will report back when I have picked up the car, but the guys seem helpful and friendly on the phone.

Congrats  Nahoc , remember if its icy at all and or snowing on your way back , there is an ice button  on the center console ,  also  on the dash where the gear indicator is      below the gear number is the temperature gauge   if its on  or  below 2 degrees  it will beep and flash consistently on start up  for around 10 secs      suggest as  its your first solo drive that if its icy / snowing  you press the ice button,     this limits the revs in each gear to avoid wheel spin etc   take care  and get yourself back home safely

Just had a flash through my head  of you driving with the famous  masser grin turning to complete fright if she starts to slide if the conditions are treacherous

be safe

regards loz

It certainly is a rare colour combo. Well, seeing as you've already bought, I guess we are going to find out about the quality of Autosportiva's stock very shortly  Keep us posted sir...
