Did you see the first drive report in Autocar this week of the new GT.

Below is a few things they said about the car.

With its long bonnet the Maserati's romanticism is impossible to ignore.

For a touring car, and one as large as this, the performance and handling are more than adequate.

The auto box suits the GT's role, for it is more relaxed and less intrusive then the firms automated manual.

The GT may be may lacking a little flexible muscle and can't quite match the thoroughness of some of it's rivals, but in most respects is a well rounded machine and delivers all the character and allure you'd expect of a Maserati.
As a grands tourer it triumphs but its style is so infectious that the GT could steal sales from more sporting rivals. One thing is for sure for those with the wherewithal the choice is more complicated than ever. A Maserati is now among the top choices.

Yes, read it too, suprisingly complementary!

Would agree with most of it, from what I saw on Sunday. A very different car to my trusty old 3200!!

I agree....it's a stunning car and probably one of the best shapes Maserati have penned for a long while, but sounds like it needs a bit more power and I wouldn't have one until they make a CC/man version as the Auto doesn't appeal to me.
