Chaps (and Ladies)

Can anyone clear up a controversy around replacement keys please? My new pride and joy came with a red key only (and the red code card) and my mechanic has been trying to get some new black keys. He's had three different stories from JCT in Leeds (1. NO 2. Yes but it will be 3 grand 3. Yes but you need a pair, we're not sure how much and we're checking with Maserati techincal to be sure) and I've been told (by the dealer I bought the car from) that it will be about 200 but I'll need to supply log book, driving licence and passport!).

Help!

Pete

PS Does anyone know if any tyre dealers have Michelin Pilot Sports in stock? Trying everywhere but apparently there's a massive back order with Michelin...

Yeti

Replacement black key from HR Owen is £157.63 incl. VAT

Thats £59.15 for the key & £75 labour (net).

Hope this helps?

hi Yeti, saw your requirement for Tires, I assume that you live in yorkshire ot surrounding area? if so, my frien and neighbour owns a tire fitting place, he does all my cars. Malcolms tyres in barnsley (ask for malcolm Frudd), tell him you got his details from me (robbie macintosh) hopefully he can do you a deal? if malc's not there, ask for his son Paul. any probs let me know and I'll ask.

Yes you need to provide proof of ownership - log book etc for a black key - takes about two/three weeks I was quoted £70 for the key only plus setting up.
Having read V-birds tyre thread maybe worth tyring some of his suggested continentals?????????????

I have a spare red key - colured black and no spare black key - the red key is different to the black key that fits the ignition???????????

Chaps, thanks for the responses. Key issue now sorted out (the guy at JCT had just moved from Aston Martin servicing so wasn't sure what he was doing) and thanks to Robbie - Malcolm was able to get some Pilot Sport PS2's!

glad to be of assistance, if anyone else is looking for tires, give him a call, he's a real car nut too! - and always open to offers.
