Time soon to start thinking  about the  Bristol  italia day,   booking approx number of cars , restauarants etc ,we were limited last year i think to 23    and Paul hopefully will stand by  his last years words and up it a little , last years event was superb    and all that have been before know that it is one of the major events  and a great day out for the whole family

Have already emailed Paul to clarify dates etc and register the car,   like to get an idea of numbers for the restaurant booking , anybody have thoughts as to a change of   eating venue          tho   the regular has served us well in the past

regards loz

Loz,

As this is the first major event of 2010 I was thinking of suggesting a weekend event with maybe a tour thrown in of the SW area, Cheddar Gorge, Sea Front at Weston and maybe this time an approved photo shoot at the Trident Statue .

Also the possibility of a forum hotel, [I'm sure we could arrange a discount if we have enough players]

Cant think of anything better to add to the weekend than one of your spirited drives Peter  ,Can  just imagine  you and Sophie  chuckling to yourselves as you round a bend  onto a long open straight with the right foot planted    looking in the mirror to see who's been taken by surprise              always a right hoot

regards loz

Go for it Loz! but I need to know the dates! It would be nice if we could get the Ghibli presentable before the event and both Rich & I might make it!

OK, last year I recall there were 5 of you who stayed in Hotels overnight.

There is a new hotel just opened this week just yards from the Old Town where the event is held. Rate is about £89+ dependant on type of room...but I guess I will get a discount if we have a group booking. They have 18 car bays in the basement at £18 per night...again I will look at a discount for the group, but ideal if we need to wash and go at you will only have to drive 100 yards!

Last year there was a performance car event at Castle Combe on the same day which may be one reason numbers were down a little last year.

Thoughts for the Sunday is to have a blat via Cheddar, Bath and a final meet at Castle Combe village for a bite to eat B4 leaving for home.

I'm in, obviously :)

The tour sounds fun as well Pete, Cheddar Gorge a must and there are some terrific empty roads in that area.

But Weston?? The cars will all be up on bricks by the time we get back from the chip shop

Right Peeps , just had the low down from    ourhemanpaul   re Bristol 2010  the date is     Sat     24th    APRIL      few minor changes this year   they are going to charge £5.00 per car on registration   to cover spiralling costs , peanuts i know  and Paul assures any excess will be handed to charity , Date of first applications will be from Jan 1st

Alfa has pride of place this year as its their centenary  ,   Paul has requested as many different models as possible  this year  and the good news is he's upped  it to 25 maserati entrants ,   and he will  limit handing out registrations  based on model numbers untill end of Feb  then it will be on date of application

I will be bringing some bunting and stuff this year and thinking of getting a forum banner made up  to hang over the road   what do think or is it over the top       are we all for eating  at San carlos  or do we fancy a change

Oh by the way   Paul has also asked if anyone can help with marshalling   , one way to guarantee entrance  and  you would be able to pick  the best spot within the designated area

regards loz

San Carlos sounds good to me, had a very good meal there.

Is he taking entrants now Loz or do we have to wait for the invites?

I like the sound of the bunting and banners, fingers crossed I may have Spyder by then for a bit of variety
