Just recieved the mail below regarding the Auto Moto festival this year. I'm sure all who joined in last year will agree we had a really good Maserati turn out and most of us only got involved with around a month to go so hopefully we can have more get involved this year (OK i know I'm Maserati less at the moment but hopefull that will change soon). For anyone who didn't go last year it's a great day, if a little long, with all kinds of Italian machinery lined up in the streets of the old town in Bristol Italian style..with plenty of bars a resturants etc. Have a look at the Veloce web site below for more info (even used two of my pics on the site). This would be ideal for the April meet...
Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival 26th April 2008

The local sections of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and the Ducati Desmo Owners Club, together with Bristol City Council, will again host the annual Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival from 11am. to 4pm. on Saturday 26th April 2008. Following the same successful format as previous years, the event will bring some of Italy’s most desirable and charismatic cars and bikes into the heart of the Old City. The streets will be closed to traffic, creating a pedestrian friendly zone where the cars and bikes, parked ‘Italian style,’ may be safely viewed. The event's display streets also feature some great restaurants, pubs, cafes and the Saturday market stalls. This is going to be a show not to be missed! Admission is free of charge both to entrants and spectators.

Fiat will be the Featured Marque of the 2008 Festival with the a celebration of the 500 model at the centre of the show! We will mark the 51st anniversary of the 500 with a range of examples to span the years including some of the brand new Nuova 500 models. We will also feature a wide range of other charismatic Fiats of all ages to set the streets alive with Italian chic and design flair. Why not make a note in your diary to 'come on down' and take part in the best free Italian vehicle festival in the country? For news updates see: www.aroc-uk.com/gloucesterandsouth/

Entry will be by permit only. Space will be limited and entries are bound to be oversubscribed so don't delay! To reserve your place please send your name, address, phone & mobile numbers and vehicle details (marque, model, year) to:
biamf@ourhemanpal.co.uk or telephone 0117 947 5814.

just got email too-am responding now-hope to see you there again andy with or without a gransport.but hopefully with!. it is a long day especially as your car is trapped in the city centre, but there is nothing tying you to your car or indeed the city centre.imo bristol is a fantastic city and certainly worth a jaunt along the channel at least.hopefully a bigger turnout for the massers this time. may be very close to another suggested meet but that shouln't be a problem.

regards

Doesn't clash with Brooklands again this year either!

It was a result of a number of us getting together at this event that spurred Gavin to start this Forum......it's our "spiritual" home!

See if we can get both the Spyder and the Ghibli there this year!

I live in Bristol so it's a no brainer for me

I might try and get a friend along too in his DeTomaso Pantera - whether you are a fan of them are not, his is a truly beautiful example!

Look forward to seeing other Masers there!

Hey Malc, as I recall the `Ferrari owners` all had lunch at that nice Italian place on the day and we said that would be a good idea for next year.
Anybody up for something like that - we can sort numbers out / booking on the day probably??

Good old  over a pizza and beer would break the day up nicely and we can throw stuff at ferrari folk!!!! (just kidding)
