Hi everyone
been battling with this for some time now: the CD changer in my QP will only read my Verbatim CD-Rs. All others (several different makes, good & less good quality) are not recognised.
Purchased a new batch of Verbatim last week and these don't work either...

Would like to know if others have experienced similar problems, or if it's my specific changer that needs to be looked at.

thanks
vittorio

Tooki Nav,or any other fm modulator will do...unless you want to go with the good old kenwood kos v1000 and the alternated touch screen for bringing a 21 irst century car into the 21rst centuru, new nav ,xm radio ,home link control, blue tooth phoning and ipod ,all working from your own oer and driver's wheel controls plus reading it all in your cluster and center unit monitor...Sweet!

Maybe it's not the cd's but the music on them.  You have an Italian car it's possibly checking them for style

Not had any problems with the CD changer on my QP with various burnt CD's. However, when I make a copy I never burn the CD at max speed(eg x52), I always do it at say x16 or x8 as at the max speeds you can have reliability problems .

same problem with my GT. Some settings worked some didnt. FRUSTRATING. I asked the maserati people and was told someone to do with the way teh cds are formatted or recorded onto. I forget now but essentially when you record off say your itunes you need to try and attempt with different recordign formats. I am sorry cant be more help but essentially i managed to find the setting eventually by trial and error.

thanks all for the replies after having run 5 different laser-cleaning CDs, I'm now burning them at 1x, and sometimes it works... also feeding it with a variety of music, including Italian (Zucchero but also Rossini) to Slatie's point ;-)
