I'm thinking of parting with my 2002 Cambiocorsa Spyder. Black / Cream. Pristine condition, 19,811 miles. Just serviced + new tyres. Kids fed up with travelling in the boot. If you are interested reply to this post with some contact details.

I see, well i've been watching these for well over a year now and they just dont change hands for more than that. I'd be very suprised if you get a better offer, but good luck!

Odd statement - of course they do! I sold mine in September 2011 for more than this, and other 'solds' on pistonheads would suggest otherwise too - though not always clear with these what the actual selling price was.

This car looks nice and very low miles - worth doing a serach re potential costs/recent maintenance to look for. Times are hard and prices are depressed though...the one now for £13.5k is exceptionallly low (though far higher miles than this). Spyder is also a fairly narrow market so can take a while to get a buyer.

p.s. watching for over a year - life's too short; get one bought!

With that low mileage, you should be able to get £20k+ easily. I've been looking around for a spyder and most of the ones on 'Trader and Pistons are at least 40k miles and still £20k+. It's a lovely colour combo you've got, but I think spyders look better in a light metallic (just personal preference and all that). I don't think you'll have any problem selling yours tho - good luck!

I know they have an advertised selling price of £20k or so, but have they sold? No! I have seen 2 recently advertised for £20k and go for £16k. CMSPorsche have currently got an identical one to this advertised for £15k! There is also a gold one on ebay for £15k. im sorry to say it guys, but you'd be lucky to get more than a £16k cash offer. Nobody has that sort of money other than dealers, who will offer a stupidly low price. I hope you get more, but I'd be suprised. It'll only sit there depreciating!

Its certainly a buyers market at the moment. Good luck to both seller and potential buyer. I am sure between you a bit of middle ground can be found.

It would be a buyer's market, if there was more of a market! I don't call 6 cars on Autotrader and the same 6 plus a couple more on Pistonheads much of a market. Those that are on sale are relatively high mileage so those of us with cash waiting for a suitable car are more likely to wait and see what else comes up for sale. Would you spend £15k on a car that's done 50k+ miles and will need £2-3k/year to keep fettled? I'm not sure that many would. Perhaps the 'market' will liven up when the weather gets warmer? Who knows...

Why don't you buy the CMSPorsche one for £15k then if it is identical and save another £1k?!!

Apologies for being harsh but sounds like a dreamer, as is all too common...a good example of why I dislike selling cars. As mjheathcote says, if there is "an identical one" for £15k, why on earth would you be offering £16k for this one?!

Because I'd be willing to pay a grand more for what looks a tidier example, that isnt uncommon...

And you're calling me a dreamer?? At  the end of the day, cars, like anything else on this planet, are only worth what somebody is willing to pay, and I dont see anyone else making a bigger offer!

Anyway, I've decided i'm going to wait until a blue one comes up..with cream seats...and the better 7 spoke wheels....

If you are serious about a blue spyder, you should consider looking at this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201204445066156/sort/priceasc/usedcars/make/maserati/postcode/np165ly/page/5/quicksearch/true/radius/1501?logcode=p The owner is over on the sport Maserati forum, and he has just had a new clutch fitted this week. Lovely colour combination, well looked after car. Cheers Mike

Wrong colour blue unfortunately, shame as the wheels are the ones I want, which you dont see so many with.

Hi all, hope im not hijacking this thread.
This is my car and is having some work done at Emblem In Poole at the moment. Its a MY2004 specification car so is profoundly different to the 2002/03 version in many respects.
It is in for a New clutch and possibly the clutch related bearings etc but is also having a New F1 Pump fitted and New handbrake shoes as well as the Larini Exhaust removed and the originals (zuma starker?)put back on.
I will however put a set of quicksilver stainless steel rear mufflers in the boot for the new owner. These are very very Loud even more so than the Larini!
New anthracite alloys all round by maserati wheel specialist (complete strip down and respray with 7 coats and oven baked)and new Pirelli P zero fitted about 1000 miles ago at same time as wheels were done approx.
Main Maserati dealer did 42,500 mls service which was new plugs, leads, belts, fluid flushes in fact new everything (cost £2000)
Car is not due another service until 56,000 although yearly oil and filter is a must IMHO.
I covered 12,000 miles in this car and when i bought it i spent another £5000 in just making it perfect.(mostly servicing and cosmetic stuff)
I want the next owner to enjoy this car as much as i have.
I would keep it but my right knee is shot and getting in and out and driving such a low car is a real pain (excuse the pun)
I am told this car is an Anomaly in that Maranello Maserati Egham offered the original purchaser/owner an upgrade to either sport or supersport and that the supersport option was managed by Trofeo software. It has the Trofeo managment system. I did question this but Mr P Green of Maserati UK has confirmed this was what the car is running with.
I am not sure what this implies but i mention it anyway.regards Adam.

Here is the car:

Is there anything else you want to add mate? You're not buying. You're not selling. You're just being a prat in all honesty.

This was a discussion between a seller and potential buyer, where your input was required or requested im not quite sure? Or in short, shut up.
