I have done my bit for the UK and Italian economy. So its Goodbye to the 2010 QPs 4.7 after 10Kmiles of trouble free motoring.

And hello to a new 2012 GT S Automatic, sports pack with the oval exhasts (lush) and a few other extras.

Oh - the noise, my god, I thought the QP sounded phenomenal, but the new baby really sings.

The next two weeks might be quite a wait!

Lucky boy

Ah, saw your post on PH!  I think we might live quite near one another so I look forward to seeing it (and more so, hearing it!).

Fine choice...enjoy.

Enjoy. That must be one of the first GTS Auto's with the Sports Pack. My understanding is that it adds:

-GTS MC boot and side skirts:
-Faster gear shifts in Sport mode; and
-Exhaust valves always open in Sport mode rather than the usual >3k revs.

Keep us updated. The GT is a great piece of kit - love mine.

...plus the mercury neptune wheels and oval exhausts.

Oh, and have you got the shadow line too?

I have now picked up the car. It is a 2012 MY GT S auto with sports pack.  In addition she carries, Bose surround, Red anodised callipers, comfort pack, interior carbon package, aluminium pedals, metallic black, shift paddles, parking sensors, shadow line, contrast stitching in grey on a nero leather with stitched tridents on the headrests and a grey headlining.

The verdict - *uc*ing Awesome!

So much more nimble than the Quattroporte - the steering is so  communicative. Ok the space is smaller, but I have zero regrets.  I drove to Manchester last week - manual sports mode is too loud for the motorway! However, full manual sports mode opens the exhaust to maximum.  The sound and speed from the toll booth was awesome as I pulled a race star in full manual sports modet!

Through town - full manual sports announces the car well in advance = an absolute head turner.

Glad you like it. Such well planted cars - hardly ever see the ESP (MSP) light unlike in powerful Mercs.

FD in the US do a kit to fully control the exhaust valves with a plip. I am thinking about it so that I can have noise in normal and silence in sport as I see appropriate.

I've a sneaky suspicion you might live quite close to me.  I saw your QP a few times and yesterday saw a car very similar to the above drive down my road.

Are you dark hired, with a mo? (doing Moveber, perhaps?)
