Morning, Finally got round to changing the oil for Redline MT90. Fiddly but not that hard a job. Laser tools sell a 14/17mm sump plug key £4. Using a hacksaw cut it in half - took a while. Jacked the car up as high as I could get the front, and used axle stands to support it. Wriggled under the car to where the gear box is, the filler plug is on the side of the gear box on the offside. Space is tight in there and i had to move a couple of wires to get my "Key" in. Then just undo it with a 19mm spanner, oil will dribble out so get ready to catch it. Then using the same Key undo the drain bolt. The drain bolt is magnetic and there was a small amount of "fur" on the actual magnet, but nothing noticable and there was nothing in the oil pan. I then lowered the car so it was level to allow it to fully drain. Replace the drain bolt, then jack up only the front offside and refill with oil. As the car is at an angle this will over fill slightly, again lower the car to allow xs oil to drip out and then jack it up again just enough for you to get the bolt back in. To refill I used a large syringe and a length of rubber pipe on the end Clearly 4 axle stands or a lift would have been easier........................and the odds are a garage would only have charged a couple of pounds to do it but where is the satisfaction in that !!! I will report back to see if it make gear changes any smoother. Del
