Hi,

I bought a few plates for post 53 registered cars a few years back and I wish to sell them. They are all registrations held on V750 retention certicates with the DVLA and will look great on any Maserati

They are

MA53 RVB  [ looks like MASER V8 ]

MA53 RSP [ for any spider owners ]

MA53RCC [ for the CambrioCorsa owners ]

I would like to get rid of them before I pay to renew the certificates so they are all for sale at only £600 each

Please contact me at julian.quincey@hsv.com.au

I wish I could reply with a numberplate that says UM88JOK i.e U must be joking! The first one mainly or second maybe, to be considered by some who accept the E the wrong way round, but illegal to change spacing and will not pass MOT if altered. £195 -300 incl transfer max, but not an offer from me, the other - pay me!. Methinks you got it wrong. Hence,"I need to get rid before..." sums it all up, good luck. A warning to prospective purchasers of number plates is that unless correct spacing, it will not pass an MOT, and that the police can give you one warning to rectify, or then a fine or can sieze the numberplate (albeit a couple of cases but if a good one and of value is not worth the risk). Altering of spacing just attracts  the police attention and is that what we need with a pretty conspicuous bit of transport that we run (i.e a Maserati). I take that risk along with a number of other plates which are all legally displayed so no recourse. I will itterate, that I have been stopped many times probably due to my plates, only to be asked " can you prove that you are the owner of this car, and where have you come from and where are you going etc. etc." I still reckon it is worth this occasional hassle for the investment element of the "Right Plates". FU2 was in the Sunday Times a few weeks ago for £500,000!, cannot see that many people would want to display that but what a price, however it does have a figure to someone, certainly more than a few thousands. Time will tell, as they keep on going up!

Hi,

Whilst I understand your comments I have tried to be honest in using the correct font on the actual plates shown in the images. The use of a 3 to represent an E is fairly common and if you don't like them , then obviously don't buy them !!
I have already sold MA53RGT for 1000 and each one of these plates originally cost me ₤400 from the DVLA plus ₤25 each year to renew the right to keep them.
Having said all of that I will consider all reasonable offers!!

Would have liked the V8 or CC one but my car is a 03 plate.

I bought a (51) MAS plate from DVLA early this year, and saw that MA53RVB was available then. I returned to buy it a few days later only to find that some cheeky git had beaten me to it, and then it popped up elsewhere before it was listed here.

Good luck with the sale (he says through gritted teeth).

Sorry to hear that but seriously, this plate has been on a V750 since it became available in 2003 !! What does plate look like?

My apologies Julian if I am mistaken.

The plate I was looking at was certainly MA53RV, with the last character being easily recognisable as an eight. No similar number is now available.

How does that work, if you dont renew the V750, does the DVLA sell them again?

I believe so,

if you don't cough up the money annually , you lose the right to use them and back they go to the DVLA. My get rich quick scheme was a miserable failure! Don't know if they then resell or not
