My 3 year old Granturismo is locked. All doors and the boot ( trunk ) . The key , neither in remote mode, nor mechanically into the lock will open it. Maybe the central locking developed a fault ?? In attempting to gain access via the remote it now appears that I have a flat battery. Frustrating !!! Does anyone out there have any suggestions how I can get into the vehicle or maybe just the boot (trunk) ???

Sorry to hear. I am not sure why the key does not work? If you do get the door open, then this video shows you how to get into the boot:

If it is 3 years old or purchased through a dealer, then it will be under warranty and road/home recovery. Are you in the UK? This recovery service is provided by the Alfa Romeo network. They should be able to get it started or take it to the dealer, worst case.

mowlas,
Thanks for your response. The You tube video proved useful.
I am UK based and fortunately the RAC guy was a little more subtle with his manipulation of the key mechanically in the door lock.
Having accessed the boot via the video info we got to the battery which read 6.3 volts. We charged the battery from his vehicle and it returned to a very healthy reading. Therefore all now seems ok - I hope !
Why Maserati didnt put a key access to the boot I'll never know - strange.

Thanks again.
