Status: offline 		The 3rd gear synchro is crunching on my 3200gt. The box is out and the problem synchro removed but I am having problems finding the replacement part.
Maserati and various suppliers can only sell me a new gearbox as will BMW who supposedly use the gertrag MT 226 6 speed in there M3 & M5.
I have tried to contact Getrag but have had no reply.
Maybe I am barking up the wrong tree and the getrag 226 is not the model used in the maserati 3200 GT?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

Status: offline 		I noted, after some maintainance recently to mine it has 226 part numbers on each casting....
I had a similiar problem, with an e30 M3, Bmw sold me a rebuild kit... shafts, bearings, gears and syncros... For less than the shaft and the gear I needed!
Probably a standard getrag part, just need to find the part numbers and a helpful agent!
