Hi I'm new here :) and about to take the plunge (I think!) into 3200 ownership. Can't resist those boomerangs and have an indelible image of the first one I ever saw parked under the hammersmith flyover near the Odeon seared into my imagination. It was an odd place to park. I won't say it was probably broken down. D'oh! I said it.! Does anybody know of any good Maserati specialists in Gloucestershire? And is there anybody who could do an independent inspection for me who is local or who can travel? Thanks - and I look forward to being in your number in the very near future! Johnny

J,
Welcome to the forum.

There are two dealers near to you, Bristol and Bath who have 3200's in stock. Alfanet in Bristol has at leat 1 3200, but he has had it as stock for over 3 1/2 years so it will need some work. Also Cortess in Bath.

Do plenty of resurch on here and find out what makes a good 3200 and what makes a bad-one.

If I'm honest you would be better off buying direct off a forum member, both this site and the sports maserati site have one or two each every month or so and you can at least studdy the owners history on the pages. Many dealers have the car for a while and no next to nothing about the items a well briefed forum member will.

Final point PLEASE get an inspection, it could save you £1,000's for a small outlay.

Best of luck. Pete

Thanks for your reply Pete and thanks for your advice. Well I got the car - had it checked out by Migliore in Brosgrove. Bath, Bristol and Bromsgrove are about equidistant from me and they came recommended. So far loving being the Maserati owner I always new I'd be one day. Also loving the company my car will keep when it's at the garage!

Congrats. Pics? Which one did you go for? I'm still at the "mulling over" stage.

I used them once to fit new hand brake shoes, collected the car on a truck for an extra £100, but saved me time and fuel.

Only down side was they washed the car and spoilt an alloy due to using acid to clean it...I was having them re-painted anyway so I was not too cross.
