There was a member who was enquiring about the number of Models of the Gran Sport range that were imported by Maserati UK.

There were a total of 391 imported according to them, made up of 269 standard Gran Sports, 107 Limited Editions, & finally 15 were MC Victory's. (Maserati Corse)

However, we are told that it is known that with write off's etc; there are now far fewer left than originally thought, there being 12 MC Victory's left now, & only 99 Limited Editions, but there are still around 250+ of the Standard ones left.

So, no matter what model you may be seeking, there are still some rather lovely cars left that someone is driving around now, whether any special ones are for sale is another matter!

Peter.

Peter, 3 MC Victories were written off? Or were they exported you reckon? Hope not the former.

Interesting. Do you have stats for the regular 4200GT in model year/gearbox choices etc?

Unfortunately, I don't have the number of ordinary 4200 models, with their alternative gear changes, but they will run into the low Thousands, Maserati UK could help you if you really need this info.

Big Foot,
Nice to meet you at the table early on with Henry Peder at Stanford Hall in June, hope you enjoyed yourself.
Not sure how the MC Victory's expired, or what happened to them, but the info for the Gran Sport models came from Maserati UK, via Peter Watson, a fellow member of this Forum, as well as a Maserati Club member, & a Silverstone Racing Club member too, who I see fairly regularly.

Peter.

Peter,

This might have been me! I wrote t the DVLA and then several of their approved information sellers and not one of them replied - what shock! I wouldnt mind, but I was actually happy to pay for the info!

Aparently, they are able to provide this info, along with the geographical breakdown of where the cars are. I was after that, and also the colours, but still the info proves to be elusive. Would love to get my hands on it if anyone knows where I could get it?

Thanks for posting the above stats, very interesting.

Woody

Would be interesting to know similar for the 3200. I read that 870 were sold in the UK between 1999-2002. Quite a while ago now; I wonder what proportion remain.....

Wouldnt it also be influenced by exports too?
