Member Profiles

You can access your Member Profile display page easily two ways: (1) the underlined hyperlink of your member name at the top right of every page or (2) the ‘View My Profile’ dropdown link underneath the ‘My Details’ tab on the top navigation bar.

The profile categories allow a member to input their current Supercar, past Supercars etc, as well as a generic location, occupation etc. You do not have to fill these out but as many members have suggested elsewhere it would be nice to do so.

1. Located underneath the 'My Details' tab on the top navigation bar -

- 'View My Profile': This displays the 'Member Profile' page that others members will see when they click on your displayed username (next to a post of yours, for example).

- 'Edit My Profile': This 'My Profile' page allows you to edit the data displayed on your Member Profile display page (above), as well as choose your personal settings for the site. This is where you can add your display avatar (image under username in threads) and signature (tag line at the end of your posts) too. Please remember to click the 'Apply' button at the bottom of the page lastly when editing, to execute.

2. Could members kindly fill out the 'car' categories in the 'My Profile' page, as it is nice to know which Supercars are being driven, or have been driven, by the person members are chatting to. It's all good fun, and even if you drive a Lada, no-one is fussed, please feel free to list it.

3. Filling out your location is useful for when other members need to offer advice regarding nearby meets, local members, service providers etc.

4. Uploading an avatar is relatively straightforward. The site incorporates software that re-sizes and compresses the image for you - just upload a good clear image and the software will do the rest. So no need for blank avatars, or 2mm x 2mm reduced images please.

5. To keep the post display pages flowing nicely could members please keep their signatures within one or two lines. In almost every case to avoid any overrun, this will be achieved by listing your 'previous/other cars' within your Member Profile page, and not in the Signature. And just list your current steed.

Example (Incorrect) -

Michael
Drive it like you stole it
4200 CC
Audi A6
Ghibli ABS
430 Saloon
Alfa Giulietta 1.6
Morris Minor

Correct Example

Michael, 4200 CC, Drive it like you stole it

(with all other cars to be listed on the Member Profile page). So long as the signatures are kept to within a couple lines that is fine.

While members absolutely wish to know which cars you have owned previously, by listing them on the post signature the post pages become excessively longwinded to follow, hence the extra profile listings area.
