Having monitored posts on this site, it must be a reassuring experience for potential 4200 purchasers. The information contained in some of the responses must have aided decisions made and much hard earned money saved.
Has anyone within this forum owned or have any information that may help my decision to purchase this car? Hopefully it will all be positive.

Looks like a very standard car and is the up-dated  version with a glass rear screen.

Not the private reg and suspect it may be a local cheshire car which due to the well healed population should be well looked after or second car.

Just make sue it has had all the correct services as these summer cars are often low use if it's wet.

Looks like a nice example from the pics and I believe Christopher Jackson has a good reputation in the area.  I belive he deals primarily in Porsche but does have some pretty heavy tackle from time to time.

Quick glance and the price and I would say its steep given the milage (Masers are affected more by the milage than age IMO) but would still be worth a call if its the colour combo/age you're looking for.

Good luck with the search, I'd definiately do a search on here and read through the info, it'll be very helpful!

Did they move the aerial on 04 cars as mine is in the centre of the boot ?

Looks a nice car OP (spoken as a 5 day old owner) if its a garage queen the miles dont matter but if you want it as a daily driver then maybe get a lower milage one ?

In 2003 the 4200/spyder was upgraded which along with the deleation of the bee-sting style antena saw revisions to the whole car.
New CC Softwear
More Alloy wheel options
changes to the gear selection consul
changes to the stearing rack
and on the Spyder a glass rear screen rather than a PVC one

Not yet due to work commitments, hope to visit next week.
I am currently looking for a local Indy to inspect the car.
I have initially asked Autoshield Maserati Ltd if they do pre purchase inspections, they seem ideally located, but hopefully not to close for comfort.

Are there any other Indies in the area?

You also have Super Car Clinic in Manchester, if you dont use Autoshield. Marios at Autoshield is very good aswell as the guys at Super Car Clinic.
