Hello. I have been an avid off roader and American car enthusiast for years, but I find myself looking to get into something else. I have 10k to spend on a TVR, Porsche 911, Monaro ect, or is a 3200GT a wise buy? As my last Italian car was a Alfa 166 3.2V6, which I admit is not anywhere in the same league as Maserati, but I had such a dreadful experience with that Alfa I am somewhat hesitant to entrust myself with Italian electrics and mechanics. I appreciate that this is a Maserati forum, and I expect somewhat of a bravado effect regarding these fine looking machines, but I would really appreciate some honest feed back as to what to expect and what to specifically look for on the 3200GT. As with most of my shiny toys, they get very little use, but they do receive whatever attention they require, in fact I am obsessive with niggles, squeaks and issues, and this is why I am asking for some feedback. As I know from past American cars and trucks is that they are more than happy to sit about dormant for months between use, and are reactivated with little or no drama. I love the brand Maserati, and really have an interest in the 3200GT, but my concern is that I am going to have a stroke maintaining it, compared to a well maintained Porsche 911 or Monaro (notice that I left out TVR, LOL) Is owning a 3200GT a lifetime mission as is owning a TVR? As having owned a 98 Cerbera I have learnt that even low mileage ones can be nightmare with electrics and just about everything else to be honest when not used frequently. (Still love them though) Kind regards James
