I guess a lot of us would have picked up on the howmanyleft.co.uk bit on Top Gear last night.
This is a very interesting site listing how many cars, by model, are still licensed.
For Mazzie's the really low numbers are:
222 E Auto/ 2 left.
425 Biturbo/1.
425 Biturbo Auto/1.
Biturbo Auto/2
Coupe Turbo/2
Ghibli/1
Karif/2
MC12 S Semi-Auto/2
Quattroporte Ex GT D-S SA/2

For my own: Coupe Cambiocorsa (and Coupe GT added together) there are 687....common as muck

687!?  That sounds very high considering how often you see them (or not, as the case is).

Interesitng webiste though.

If you drill down on the individual models you will see that the number of cars on SORN is in addition to the numbers above. That probably also answers the question as to where they all are. It is a poorly kept secret that older Maseratis do not sell too quickly and so many will be in dealer stock, whilst many others will be on limited mileage policies and will only see the road in summer (hence peaking of registrations in Q1 and Q2).
