Hi Ulrik and welcome.
What power are you getting with that boost?
I don't know the answer to your question, but you maybe able to find out more from the eurospares website?  www.eurospares.co.uk

What about doing a google on it on the part to find out more info?  Or is it cheap enough to buy one and have a play with?
I seem to remember that the 2.0 flow rate was about 300? at 3 bar?  If so, I know the standard integrale injectors (IW058) was about 380 @ 3 bar.
90% duty is not healthy, so understand why you want to change,

Hello

I have tried goggle,no luck, but I think I will bye 6 IW058 Injektors,Thanks for the tip,Yes it is not healthy to run 90% duty cirkel and I have raised
the fuel pressure to,I hope to run 1,3-1,4 bar,but it was a big improvement
to have the decat exhaust on,and a very nice sound

Ok, I have two sources of info for the IW031 and one says 270 @ 3 bar the other 308

Anyway the 'grale item should sort you out as it's at worst 20 % more, at best a lot more.  Also they are good for 300bhp+ on a grale and that is with 4 so with six on a ghibli, maybe good for 450bhp?

Ulrik,

Curious to know how you increased your boost pressure as the Maser system is not the simplest?

Hi Malcolm

I haved increased the boost with a Greddy boostcontroller, and left the old
boost control system in place with wire on,but with the hoses on the new Greddy, and the mapped the car for the increased boost,I have also disabelt the engine check in the Ecu,Because I run Wideband lambasonde and knock control

Thanks for that Ulrik gives us something to consider...Although very fond of the Ghibli, I've always thought the car would be a lot more fun with around 320bhp to play with!

Hi Malcom
You are welkome,Its very easy to install greddy boost controller, and then you can adjust the boost from the driver´s seat, but you offcause have to mapped the ecu,but even if you are going with standart boost the greddy hold´s the boost much better than the oem controller,Yes it goes much better now with 332hp,I have also replace the oem dumpvalves with some
Forge open valves

Interesting.  I may still have a Greddy Profec A lying around somewhere.....
Anyway, did you alter the map yourself or have someone do it for you?
I guess a cheap and cheerful way to increase boost and have a safe engine would be to use the greddy or apexi R or similar and then increase the fuel pressure.  If you could then pop a wide band lambda in the exhaust and check the mixture on the road or a dyno - you could ensure it was all ok.
I assume you have a your wide band lambda connected to something inside the car to keep a constant check on the mixture Ulrik?

Yes I alter the map my self,I dont think you can raise the boost very much only by increase fuel pressure, yes I have Innovate LM-3 wideband kit and knock control,so I can monitor the AFR while I am tuning and driving,my AFR is 12.0 on load from 4000 Rp/m to 7200Rp/m,Just be surer to have a
wideband kit before you increase the boost, but when I was on the dyno I
touch 1,4-1,5 bar shortly and there was a lot more power, but I was lean so I back off

Hi Ulrik
I agree with what you're saying.  However if you increase the fuel pressure slighty and the boost slightly it should be ok (need to check the AFR of course).  I've heard good things about the innovate kit, what perameters are you watching with the LM-3?  Boost, AFR, EGT, injector duty and RPM?
How difficult was it to wire up?
I thought the ideal AFR is 13.1, but maybe this is for NA engines only.  Woops just had a look should be between 12 and 12.5:1
How do you go about altering the map?
Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich
Yes I am very pleased with the LM-3 I watch AFR,EGT and RPM,boost I watch with the Greddy,I think its easy to wire up,and on Innovates homepage there are good support,I think 13,1 AFR is to lean for turbo
I also have a BMW E30 M3 with G.R A engine,and I run 12,5 AFR on load from 5000Rpm-9000Rpm and that´s a NA engine.
On the Ghibli I first burn 2 Eprom´s with other parameters(it is the same program In the 2 ecu´s)and then I raised the boost,so much I can without going lean.
offcause I dont want to be running 1,6-2,0bar boost,I dont think the turbo´s will last so long or the engine

Hi Ulrik
How do you go about changing the parameters?  Do you just have a chip reader (ebay?) and a hex editor to change the 1's and 0's?  Or special software and where did you find out what the old programming meant or was it trial and error?
Sorry for all the questions, but people with this knowledge on the ghibli seem few and far between!
In regards boost, I think 1.2 would be optimal boost as long as the EGT is not too high and car not running lean.  I assume you are using the standard turbo's?
Thanks
Rich

Hi Rich
It´s okay to ask me questions,I have a chip reader, and some special software to find out the old programming,Its the same software like the old Ford sierra cosworth, and it´s simple (because it´s old)there are not so many sites to look at,yes I am using the standart turbo´s,I have read about some people who is using 3200gt turbo´s,but now I am tuning my Ghibli for 1,4 bar hi boost and 1,2 bar low boost, and I hope the Intercoolers dont break

I thought it may be.  That is the same software as the integrale, so if you need anymore info yourself it is worth looking at the lancia and the cosworth.
I think I will be trying this myself in the future, so hopefully we can compare notes
