Try Adrian Flux, they were the most competitve I found. I dont have their details with me but you should find them through the web. Think they even do a discount for Maserati Club Members.

I agree Adrian Flux have proved the best for me, they specialise on performance cars. They covered my M3 previously.

Hi ive had a 3200 for four years and just decided to sign up for the forum so hi to all!

I think I have had good rates from Direct Line I guess it is all to do with your age and history!  I found it better to call them as the online systems do not seem to be set up for cars like the 3200

A-Plan have been tops for me with both my 3200GTs. Agreed it depends on your age and history, but I tend to do a lot of research, and a sub £600 fully comp from A-Plan suits me!

My cheapest quote so far by a long way is Quoteline Direct. £800 comp 4000 miles a year social domestic and pleasure with the mrs on. We are both 32, full no claims and clean licenses.

The only other companies left for me to try are aplan and Adrian Flux, got to be honest though I rang up Adrian Flux, was on the phone for half an hour and got cut off. They never rang me back, so the service aspect has put me off a bit.

£800 seems really good for a group 20 sports car like this, my insurance on a 3.0 Z4 was going on £700 a year....

£540 with Sainsbury for me, but I will be trying A plan when mine runs out. Also try Michael Ward Associates and ask for Chris Mcgrafe (01707266303) Cortese gave me his number as a specialist they use for Ferrari and Maserati.

Tescos was the next best really overall but £1240 ! I am currently insured with Sainsburys for the z4 (£690) They wont quote online for the Maserati for me, rang up and they came up with £1050 a year but with a £500 excess and Tracker as a requirment of the policy (Around £120 a year for tracker monitor subscription). Lets be honest who wants to bother with Tracker. If it gets stolen I definately dont want it back, I want the money to buy another one.......

Like I said £800 is the cheapest by far at the moment ! I will try aplan and Adrian Flux, I have tried just about everyone else I cant see them going much below what I have already had but I will give it a go.

The insured value is £30,000 and the 4200 is in a slightly higher band than the 3200, probably equates to most of the difference in price....

hey guys I know its been a while since I have written something on this thread, but got a quotation yesterday for 2200 from the beloved, Adrian Flux. Am going to try the others tomorrow that have been listed as above. But if there are any young Maserati owners out there I would sure love some help. The guys at Adrian Flux were very helpful considering I am only 27 with a protected no claims for about 8 years. I anyone knows of someone who is young and driving one of these amazing cars please could you find out who insures them so I can contact the company. Am ever so close at buying the car. Its a friends and has been look after very very well, full history etc, etc. Just need something under 1700 a year. Thats all I have budgeted for.

Cheers for all your help.

Hey Aaziz

Oh the frustrations of youth eh? Don't worry we all get older and wish we didn't your turn will come!

Try A plan if you havn't already I have switched to them from Adrian Flux they were giving a much better deal for me, but like a number of others I have more than 20 years on you!

Have you considered a limited mileage policy? Depends how much mileage you are going to do but if it is under 10K or even down at 6K a year you should make good savings.

Keep shopping around, good luck!

Hi Aaziz
I paid less than that for both the 'grale (one off, perfect condition) and the Ghibli (group 20) at the same time, and my circumstances are not as good.  If you are in london that may be an issue, as Malc says a limited milage policy could be an idea too.  I've used elephant (but they will not do Maserati) and RAC to good effect.
Your best bet is to trawl the web and check out the tips on www.moneysavingexpert.com

Aaziz
I bought my 3200 a couple of months ago and insured this and my BMW540 (gp 18) with Elephant for £1550 pa (The 3200 is listed with Elephant as a Maserati Coupe - not a 3200GT - which could have been the problem Rich had with them). I'm a bit older than you (34), 7 years NCB and the car is on a driveway in the East End of London! May be worth a call.

Well it's an expensive week, the car is in for exhaust boxes, MOT, air con evaluation, plus numerous little jobs I've ignored for 5 months, and I've had to insure it as well!

Renewal with Privilege was £985, Tesco/NU & all the big brokers were £1,200 +, in the end Flux and A-plan battled it out, with the honours going to Flux at £748, with a £400 excess, legals etc etc.

Not "cheap" but I have 9 points in the last 5 years.....and it lives on the street, albeit in rural Wiltshire. And I'm "young" apparently...32!!!

Not looking forward to Emblem's call on Tuesday though, I suspect the bill will going in one direction only!
