And the second post in as many seconds... had a quick search on the forum and could not see anything on previous insurance banter. Wanted to get a feel for what people were paying insurance wise....currently paying £350/annum with Classicline for the 964 porker but that is limited mileage and private use only. I need my Maser to be a private and business daily runner.....

thanks in advance.

Hi
Take a look a bit further down the list of subjects and under the Technical section you will find an Insurance and Finance thread. There are a few examples on there.
Regards
David

Try Calling My Coleague Steve on 01993 778778 he will happily look at some insurance for you on your Maser and if he is not competitive enough will be honest and upfront.

Definetly worth picking up the phone as i know he has quoted one member already today.

Thanks. Spoke to your chaps today and unfortunately was not quoted happy - but was specifically due to only 1 year NCB.

Likewise not quoted happy by A Plan.  Up from £530  last year with Michael Ward to £689 with max no claims, garaged, 5k limited miles and no convictions, 2nd car no busines use!

Looks like I need to keep trying.  Any suggestions?

Hi Guys,
I dealt with my local branch of Swinton Insurance and found it to be way cheaper than if I'd gone with their online service! I'm just over £500 a year at the moment also with a limited mileage of 6k miles a year.
God luck hunting,
Cheers
Ronnie

I have to say I found A Plan awful too - I had to chase them to get a very uncompetitve quote out of them.

After doing the usual comparison websites etc. mine is insured through Competition Car Insurance, same as my Lotus. Good old fashioned on the phone service, and can't fault them over the past year or so of dealing with them

for info I have the Admiral Multi Car, the Maser & an Astra Diesel (60 mpg Mon-Fri = Maserati more affordable)

Anyway, £820 for both, Maser on 8k miles p.a

I think the Maserati part of the premium is around £500 . . . . but will obviously depend on age, postcode, garaged ?, tracker ?

cheers

Colb

Am in the process of acquiring a 3200 and obviously did the rounds for insurance quotes.

The best by far was - Simon Dicks at Bridle Insurance Tel. 0808 178 0114 they are a sponsor on this forum.

Was quoted £587.12 for 12 months fully comprehensive, 5k miles, they are mirroring my 9 years no claims discount on my daily runabout.

Give them a try, really professional and very responsive.

All the best,
Antonio
