Can we run a little thread to see who everyone is insured with, looking to buy now so need to find the best deal i can. Thinking of A Plan as my skylines were with them and they are very cheap.

Handy reminder, I'm with Flux - £750 ish 33, 9 points in last 5 years, full no claims, car on street no mileage limit and full business use.

But I haven't provided details of my Owners Club membership yet...ahem... better join I guess!  Is there only one club?

£660 on an 02 4200 garaged. 38 years old, limited to 7000 miles per annum. Through First Point but that's just a broker, actual insurance company is Royal Sun Alliance. CM15 postcode has much to do with low price.

A-Plan are the best brokers for me! The Spyder is on full business use, 12k Mile/yr, off road in carport (remember it is a spyder not a coupe) 3 points 3 years ago but 30 months at renewal £527 with Royal Sun Alliance.

They also just came in 40% lower than Flux on another project! Placed with Ensign.

50 in a couple of weeks...can't see why that is bad news though fellas.....just getting the hang of life now

Well my postcode is probably the safest in the country and I did screw them down over 5 phone calls by bouncing A plan's and Flux off each other - the Guy at Flux finally relented and gave me the "take it or leave it" close to his pitch, it was £30 lower than A plan's 3rd effort and I was bored so I took it!

I know it's difficult with Car insurance but there's a healthy margin built in for commission, these guys certainly earn their dough and the guy at Flux was the first to say "this is my cheapest price - no b/s".

I tried to insure my "spare" car  - the MX-5 (and a really old one at that) and due to no NCB to use I was being quoted £400 until I rang Roadsure, who asked what my lowest quote was, and instead of undercutting it by say £35 to tempt me, they insured me for £180!!!! No flannel, paid by card there and then and my renewal has just come through at £200. Better argue that one eh??!!

They couldn't get below £1k on the 3200 though.

Admiral were best for me, I think about £630 for self and other half, including business use.  Car kept in car port, 3 points, full no claims.  I'm just 50....

Tesco also quoted a similar figure - some may have had less than perfect experiences with them but a friend of mine insured her Merc 500SL through them, and when she pranged it they were absolutely excellent.
