Hi all, I'm about to change my 911 for a 3200GT, a car I've been in love with for years. Before I do, I'm trying to get an insurance quote but my broker cannot find the spec in their lists, and can't get a quote. Any suggestions? Thanks

If you want a couple of benchmark quotes A Plan and Adrian Flux wil do the job.  If you're squeaky clean and old enough Privilege or Direct line are surprisingly open minded..... good luck!

I had the same problem - they are listed as Maserati Coupes I believe - get them to read out the list of cars that appear on the database.

I got a refund from moving from a 996 C4 to a 4200.

My best quote was with elephant.co.uk - the best price by far and you can get a quote online. They were also best for my Range Rover last year, a good £150 cheaper than anyone else. And no, I'm not really old, still have a '3' in my age....just!

Saga was much cheaper than Direct Line this year - £180ish cheaper. Mind the "S" word is a bit of a giveaway.

you are not going to like this but I've reduced my insurance by over 200 quid this year... sold my 2003 Coupe, bought a 2006 QP Sport GT.... much cheaper to insure... just don't tell the wife the cost of the car!

Hope it's a pre-march 2006 otherwise you're in that nasty "gaz guzzler" bracket which I expect will get very expensive soon.

I have an Admiral multi-car policy that works out great for the 3200 AC and the more sensible cars.
