I see that there is an Italia day in Bristol most years. With me picking my Maserati up next week I was wondering how to involved with this, if it is happing this year. Only living 9 miles away helps.

The organisers asked me to post this and I don't see why not, the more the merrier! Get registered quick! Thanks Malcolm, can you please add the following on the forum:Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival Saturday 28th April 2007
Once again the West Country's Latin Quarter will pulsate to the sounds of pedigree exhausts as Italian vehicle enthusiasts from far and wide descend on Bristol city centre for the annual Italian Auto Moto Festival on Saturday 28th April. The event will bring some of Italy’s most desirable and charismatic cars and bikes into the heart of the Old City. The show will run from 11am to 4pm and will be centred on the Corn Street / St Stephens Street area, surrounded by some great restaurants, pubs, cafes and the Saturday market stalls. The display streets, (not far from the city's shopping centre), will be closed to traffic, creating a pedestrian friendly zone where the cars and bikes, parked ‘Italian style,’ may be safely viewed. Admission is free of charge both to entrants and spectators. Entrants must arrive by 10.00am and remain until 4pm.
For entries & information - BIAMF@ourhemanpal.co.uk or 0117 947 5814
Organised by the Gloucester & South Section of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club.

Likewise

This event normally gets over subscribed so you need to book if you don't want to be disappointed!

Looks like you me, Andy and possibly Steve at the Moment.

It is quite an event and quite a few ladies tend to come along, show an interest in the various marques and then sneak off to the shops...it is in the city centre!

Cancel the credit cards first

Had my email back - all confirmed.

As long as we dont arrive too late, Paul reckons he will keep the marques together - will be good to put a few faces to a few names.

I live 9 miles away so when we have confirmation of names etc perhaps we can all meet up just outside Bristol and go in together...what do you all think.

They do marshall the event quite well and allocate space on different streets to keep the different marques together. As you get closer to the centre you find yourself in a convoy of Italians! It is a very freindly event. The Marshalls have blocks of wood to help roll the cars backwards up the kerbs onto the pavement to park at an angle to the road but may be worth slinging a couple in the boot in case they are pulled out on arrival. In the past they have had ten minute "run/rev your engines" sessions, now that is quite a noise!

OK, once we have numbers I'll organise a meeting place. If anyone wants to come down the night before and fancies staying in the little market town of Chepstow let me know and I'll post some hotel/BB/Country Club details. We also have a very good Italian resturant in Chepstow. Maybe a night before meal to get to know each other....just a thought.
