The dealer has just had 6 delivered including their demo. First cars came in to the country last week it seems. First impressions are very good but I was a bit startled when I saw it from the front for the first time. Its really unlike anything I had seen before. It looks totally different from the rear or side, it looks almost like two cars blended together. Its a wide car due to the bulging rear arches and its slightly bigger overall than I imagined. I was worried about the way the plate would sit at the front but it looks fine and hasn't caught on the nasty speedbumps in my road, unlike my Aston which could never get over them without scraping.

I went for the larger wheels in gunmetal and I am glad I did as they really finish it off. I went for metallic dark grey with black interior and grey stitching.
The ride is quiet soft but in sport mode on the motorway the performance is good if not spectacular. The interior is excellent and the new hard disc CD ripper / player is a great idea if a little slow. Servicing is every 2 years which was a nice surprise. I am told the waiting list is until September so the residuals should be good for a while.

Congrats, and welcome to the forum.

Can I be so bold to ask for pics?  I've not seen on in the flesh yet!  I'm sure it wont be long :)

All the best

Yes I will take some tomorrow for you. Seems I got lucky with the waiting times - I put my name down in late July.

welcome to the forum, would love to see a shot from the front, have been trying to decide where the number plate is going to be and what the car will look like with it on

I am watching this thread with interest!

Still ahhh'ming and ahhh'ing over whether to go for one in a year or so. I saw one in Moscow and was stunned at the beauty of it. However, 550s are at just over 40k...

Colour combo sounds great, looking forward to pics!

Some further comments after driving around.
- The interior is very dark. Cant see door handles or where to put the ingnition key. CD player does not light up. The lighting inside goes off very quickly but probably can be changed on the computer. Otherwise I think its a design fault
- The hard disc player is very slow to rip CD's. First it rips them and then must compress them, takes around 20 mins for a CD and you can't play it while it is doing this.
- Sat Nav is excellent, view is clear and shows up both on the screen and on the dashboard. The lady talks with a strange accent thought - she sounds like she is from Derby!
- Visibility is OK but the front pillar can cause a few problems at junctions

Any other questions just shout

Very nice I must admit I did wonder about the interior colour when I first read the note.
Not a black interior fan personally, I prefer lighter colours with some contrast but the Ivory in my 3200 does take some keeping clean.

Lucky lucky man. Im saving hard  - be a few years yet tho before they are in my price range!

It does look really really nice. wishing you many happy Maserati miles.

great looking car and likely a real step forward, but cup holders? . Next thing Maserati will modify a car to to carry golf bats (see fat arse on Jag XK8). Stunning - love the colour, and those wheels look like proper weapons. Why not bring it to Bedford on 24th Nov for the RMA trackday?

Very nice.  The grey wheels look great!

Re the name, forgive my ignorance MarkC, but what's wrong with it?
