Next year i will be doing both the , the 24hr and the classic , just sounding out who is interested  in one or both of the events ,  Have a good friend who has offered me  for a smallish fee  the use  of his newly converted  5/6 bedroomed house , fully equipped   built  in 14 acres  with a 7 acre lake, and for the fishermen out there  its stocked with around £30k worth of carp and other fish     At some stage  i will be posting  a few pics so you can see what you'd be letting yourself in for , Its in the Village of Mouliherne  some 50 mins  or so from Le mans , ideally 4 or 5 couples/cars   ample off road good surface  parking  Kids  no problem      there's  a huge flat screen telly in the games room with games consoles       let me know if your interested in either of the events

OH and a big added bonus  he tells me  has access to  Lemans  insider passes worth around 500 euro's each for      free     tho at the moment  were not sure how many he can get

regards loz

Loz,

Sophie and I may be interested, dependant on wedding savings [ie saving for wedding rather than cutting back on the wedding...just in case she reads the post!]

Should be a cheapish 3/4 days  havent spoke to my mate yet im thinking along the lines of a £400 for the house  for 4 nights  split maybe 4/5 ways   £80-£100  per couple   plus the possibility of the free passes   which could be a big bonus

Have a ponder and see what you think

regards loz

We were going to swap the 24hr for the classics, but have decided not to now. Cant justify both. The 24hr has been very quite the past 2 years, less English, we think due to tight pockets in these troubled time. We are expecting it to be busier in 2010....as always, anyone wanting to meet up on the other side, no problem

Loz, usual time, usual place next year?

Interesting... the last time I went in 2007 was god-awful, rained throughout which can't be avoided, but it was the people there - just a horrible chav-fest, Max Power cars and blokes 6-up in transit vans full of cheap lager and weed. Some real scrotes there (think supersoaker water pistols filled with lager or worse)and I haven't been since. The Classic was a revelation and I am 100% going to that, touring the Loire beforehand with the De Tomaso owners as usual - but I really fancy giving the 24 a go again...

Keep me posted, though I imagine if I do the 24 as well it will be a surgical in-and-out weekend in a tent with the accompanying hangover

Hmmmmmm...a chav-fest.....

Hopefully Marcos, if the pit passes appear, you/we won't have to rub shoulders/see the Great GB proletariat at play...........but we can await Loz's view/advice on this.

Best bit for me is the get together at Arnage Fri- afternoon , bite to eat  a few jars and view all the cars coming through

Track site (chav fest)   One of  reasons  im happy to stay out of the inner sanctum so to speak ,  just like to arrive  park up view 3/4   hours of the start  and a quick look around   then off for a lovely meal   returning for an hour or so  late evening to see a few sparks  and  one or two inevitable crashes , then home to a lovely comfy bed ,

Sunday morning hearty breakfast  set off back to Arnage  quick jar and off to the track to catch up and watch the last 2 or 3hrs up to the finish  ,then  back home to the village   for an evening meal at the local restaurant , Great to not get caught up in the Sunday night melee rush back to Le havre /Dieppe/Calais  and take things easy  by going back leisurely  on the Monday .

Not having done the Classic    will be doing that aswell in 2010  will sort the details later on that

regards Loz

I would definitely like to take the Bora if Maserati are going to be racing there this year.

Bit of a Le Mans veteran for my sins, having been to the main race on and off since 1998 and a couple of times to the Classic.

In fact Team GCR wouldn't exist without Le Mans as Tom (our driver) and I met there!

So Loz provisionally interested assuming no date clashes with British GT etc.,..

Kind regards,

Robin

Hi Guys

Would be interested in the Classic did it in 2008 with my old banger (Healey 100/6)and had a great time; especially the two laps on the track; have you considered joining up with a maserati club event on the circuit?

A tough decision which motor to take.

Hi Loz,

Yes assuming the Bora is back together and it doesn't clash would be good to go along to Bristol. It does clash with a BTCC weekend and we are in discussion about possibly running a G50 in G50 Cup and maybe a Junior as well so if that does happen I will be tied up.

Yes would be good to meet.

Regards,

Robin
