obvious
Make sure they all work - and all look the same (non-matching bulbs glow differently). Double check rear lights as these LED units cost £800 each.
Make sure headlights do not have condensation inside the lens cover. This indicates seals have come unstuck - maybe due to careless use of jetwash

less obvious.
Ensure front indicators flash orange (MOT fail) - colour is set by the bulb, not a lens or reflector. Can take 2 hours to replace the indicator bulb, 90 minutes with scratched hands and industrial swearing.
ALL bulbs are a pain t replace, don't accept a car unless they all work.

Thanks for the tips - test drove a 19K mileage 3200 at the beginning of the week and noticed the headlight covers had condensation on the inside. It was early in the morning so I didn't think twice about it, now I have!
