Hi,

I have had my car for about seven weeks now and I have noticed minor scratches / marks on various parts of the car (door, door sill, inner door edge etc). They don't warrant going to a body shop for an expensive repair but probably should be carried out by a specialist (not me).

Can anyone recommend someone in Hampshire who could do this?

Maybe best worth giving Emblem sportscars a call and asking if they know of a good mobile guy they could recommend.

Is that Marks car you have? Try some matallic T-cut. Comes in a red container. As long as there not too deep this will do it a treat. Why pay big bucks!

ha - thanks both... T-cut would probably work on the scratches. How about the door edge where the paint has actually come off; any options other than repainting?

Not a massive fan of t-cut, try something like Meguiars scratch-x, readily available in the likes of Halfords.

Agree with M44K TS; careful with the T cut as you risk hitting primer (especially on the edges of panels). I used the Meguiars (which I understand to be a much milder cutting compund than T Cut) and found it very effective on swirls and light scratches.

There is T Cut scratch remover, which I assume is milder, but haven't tried it.

As with all these things test a small unimportant area first and do things gradually, checking as you go along.

Cheers

Thanks all - I'm in no rush, it's due for a Swissvax next month so I'll see how it looks after that.
