Status: offline 		So guys what is the current level of interest in a Spring track day?

Some of you will know that from time to time I organise a not for profit "Gentleman enthusiasts day out" non competitive track day, not for boy racers or would be racers, but to find the depth of our abilities and our cars with minimum risk and without public road restrictions. Exercise the horses and have abit of a social.




Normally restricted to 20 to 25 cars at a recognised track, 5 to 8 on the track at a time in sesssions, with full marshall support etc etc target cost circa £200 per car with a small charge for shared drivers.

We have opened this up in the past to friends with Lotuses....Loti? to make up numbers and I am sure Jaffa can introduce us to the other Supercar Forums if we are low on numbers?



I will need a higher level of commitment than in the past, as people have dropped out when asked for the money.... normally genuine reasons but these days are not for profit and I don't want to carry the can! So I will be asking for full payment when a proper plan is put forward but I will be happy to try and broker a place on here if someone has to drop out.

I will start sounding out some tracks and see what is available and come back in a few weeks. It is likely to be a weekday as the availibilty and cost is better.

Meanwhile if you are interested please put your names forward, subject to date and venue for now. If you are unsure search back on the forum for previous events.........

Been lying low here as I I was unexpectedly busy leading upto Christmas! A good problem to have

Right re the track day......................As there doesn't seem to be a rush of takers....... I will see what I can do to find a venue with availabilty when the weather is likely to be fair and a low rental to get the proposed cost down............target say £150? remember it is all down to the numbers attending versus the exclusivity

The last track event became a bit of a struggle for numbers so I pitched it high this time

I'll be back!

If you want to get the numbers up and don't mind me bringing the M5 I may well be up for this depending on dates and place..You thinking Goodwood again?

The one I organised at Llandow in Spetember was a great success for the SM forum and thats still a very cheap day.....

You are always welcome we can always rebadge it and it's not a lotus!  Actually we will see...... they may well be welcome too! You know I love 'em really....

We thoroughly enjoyedLlandow when we had the Forum day there just a tad small compared to my beloved Goodwood but you're right the price is normally right. Also Rich and I had a great day at Castle Coombe attending a Charity day...and it was moist......with no boy racers at the chicane! Safranes favourite too....where are you Peter?

So all is open at the moment

I had the grey 4.2 GT on the Rockingham wet training day last year, now have a black GT-S MCS, which is nice.
I may well be up for this subject to location and date, so will keep an eye on this thread.

Shogun would have big boots to fill......... we have had a Range Rover sport attend and the owner had so much fun he bought an Overfinch and brought that along to the next event!

oops! Sorry about that! Clearly I am losing it then, never mind the grey hair comment in the previous reply to Dan!

Actually thinking about it.............. The Overfinch belongs to one of Jezza's mates?.... and came to the Rockingham wet handling day?

If it ain't under my nose then it's certainly out of my mind!

Richard is the one who retains all the info.............

Anyway waiting to hear back from Goodwood I will chase up on Llandow and Castle Combe .....thinking late March or early April as the costs rocket from Easter onwards until late Autumn
