Loving the pearl white paint. Not sure about the wheels though. An 'S' should have an 'angrier' look if you ask me, which matt black wheels would have given.

great looking car, but I don't think that it's a GTs, the exhausts on the GT's are not the twin port type, they are one big oval outlet, maybe it's different for the auto, but all the GTs I've seen have large single bore exits

Robbiemac you're right that the normal GTS cars have an oval tip. However according to where the OP'S pics came from http://www.car-pictures.us/maserati/granturismo/Maserati_GranTurismo_S_Automatic.jpg.html this is the new Automatic-only 'S' version, as mentioned here too: http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=19417 Shame, as those Oval tips marked the 'S' out from the normal GT.

How long before white cars become unfashionable once again, have van residuals gone up since this unfortunate fad kicked off, anyone?

The missus explained this to me the other day: Silver is the new white, white is the new black, and black is the new (to be decided this year)...

You were never out of fashion mate - you drive a silver Maserati for goodness sake ;)

I give you exhibit A (the best drawing EVER by the way!) :

I'll get with it one of these days, can you use Tipex to remove stone chips on white cars d'ye know? I wonder if a car maker will come out with Toilet White, or Lavatory White instead of Bianco Fuji say? Maybe something a bit more fancy sounding, nonsense crap like "Bianco Urinale", I don't know, could be on to something here?

tbody

I'm confused, what's the new green again....?

Don't joke Marlon, I once went to buy what I thought was a Bianco Fuji GranSport only to get there and find it was Bianco Eldorado. Which is basically Tipex/Toilet Paper white. Urghhhh! Great on an escort van, but not on a Maserati. I tried deluding myself that it looked like a cool 80's stylee homologation special and that it was 'different good', but alas I had to accept that I just could not live with it. But pearl white is a whole different story. Mmmmmm.

The new green is erm, blue... obviously. Do try and keep up 007 ;)

I do consider myself a bit of a joker he he, I just find it odd how white cars go from forecourt poison to the next big thing in a few years, I just find it so ridiculous, who the hell decided white is a stylish option anyway?

I agree that some of the modern metallic whites are more interesting than classic Bianco Van Uomo variants, and with better shut lines on todays cars it's not quite as awful. Compare a white Diablo with a black one and you'll see what I mean, the white car comes close to looking like it was assembled in a shed, for a second you wonder if it's a kit car built on a Corvette chassis or something equally lame. To me a white car will almost always look naff, unless it's a LM002.

Check out the dream machine, the grand piano wheels really do it justice, at least there's more room inside the wheel arches should the owner decide to go all out on the alloy front...
