Status: offline 		I have just purchased a 1979 Merak SS, do I need to add lead replacement additive to the fuel, I have receipt for total heads rebuild including new stem seals and valves carried out in 1991  by US CA main agent.
Can anyone advise.

Status: online 		Congratulations on your purchase. I imagine a quick e-mail or call to a Merak specialist in the UK like Bill Mcgrath would be good. In addition maybe a quick mail to the specialist in the US for a 2nd opinion?

Status: offline 		I believe your Merak will be happy with 98 or 99 octane unleaded fuel. No need for additives.
