Just over a week to go before MITCAR at Chatsworth.

This is my 10th year organising this event and the first one for my recently acquired 4200 CC, so hoping for a record number of Masers this year!

If you have never been to one, I'm sure you will enjoy it - only £5 per Italian car and this entitles all occupants for entry to the fabulous house and garden at concessionary prices.

Informal concours for different categories by popular vote, Car of the Day Award (Camshaft Trophy - winner last year a Lambo Urraco), prize draw etc.

All details on the website www.mitcar.co.uk

Lastly. anyone interested in the formation of a Midlands Maserati group for regular meetings, have a word with me at the organisers gazebo and we can discuss.

There were 260+ cars last year at Burghley House, and with another fantastic venue, confidently expecting to top that this year,

See you there!

The good news is that the weather forecast for the Bakewell area seems to be improving daily!  Currently 'cloudy but with bright intervals - 19 degrees'  That will do!

Gates open officially at 10.30 but we always, but always, get 'early birds'

It's an August weekend and Chatsworth will be busy with 'normal' visitors, so it would be a good idea to avoid the rush period between 11 and 11.30 I would say.

I keep getting queries about the need to pre-register, so I have annotated the website to make it clear - as always the message is 'just turn up' , there is no advance booking or ticket sales.

Come and say hello - look for the Sebring Blue 4200 near the Organisers' gazebo flying the MITCAR flag and park alongside.
