Morning Fellas,

My name is Jamie Fletcher and I am the owner of SupercarForums.co.uk - now the new owner of MaseratiForum. You may recall the www.supercarforums.co.uk site, well we are rolling out the platform in a slightly altered guise incorporating this great site!

For those loyal to Maserati, the other marque forums presence will not impact on your user experience here. This is very much a Maserati forum and will remain so.

Should you wish to sample the other sites, your user name and password will remain valid. Also, you may personalise your profile for each site too.

The friendly, technically knowledgeable, and informative nature here of the currently active members is really impressive. It is our aim to expand and encourage more such positive individuals to join in. For the next few months or so we’ll feel our way round the sites before making any decisions regarding any major or long term strategic changes. There will be small changes in the meantime though The look and layout of the MF site will be matched to the others in due course.

Have fun and enjoy!

Kind Regards,

Jamie Fletcher (SupercarForums.co.uk)

Hi Jamie,

The Forum has evolved a great deal since its early days when a small group of us supported Gavin in his quest. I am grateful to Brian for taking over the reigns and in my opinion Brian did a great job in the continued evolution. Forums are interesting places, it is difficult to please all of the people all of the time and I do hope you have every success in the continued development of this forum and I welcome the new era.................

So, another commercial business?

I far prefer enthusiasts forums that are run by and for enthusiasts. Making money tends to get in the way of a free exchange of information.

Hi Jamie,

Welcome and good luck.

Most of use will flit from car to car over the next few years...I have even thought of dabbling into Ferrari or Aston for the future...having one hub to refer to will be great.

Hope it works out

Hi and Welcome Jamie , look forward to maybe meeting you at some of the events , do you intend to have a hands on approach , as in meeting your members , or to carry on  as the previous custodian preferred to, and   stay aloof

I can appreciate its early days but as you can see most would like to know in which direction the forum is heading , doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how the participation has diminished probably 10 fold in the last 6 months

Concerned old member  Lozcb  who got Banned as of  yesterday , oh and it might be interesting to see if my original name can be re started , seeing as thsi is a new slate

regards Loz

Morning lads,

Hope the natural elements have not proved too troublesome and all is well in your worlds. Thanks for all the kind words, warm welcomes, and encouragements. Righty hoo, so the above is Loz’s take on things. I have had Conaero’s take on things.

Now here is my take on things:

Lighten up guys! This is a chat forum not the Gazza Strip. I don’t know every in, out, knook, cranny, pot, pan that went on, but to be honest I have no interest in politics or polemics. Life is just too short. Here is my position – let’s all play fair, be nice, and we can all get along quite happily. There is room enough for Pistonheads, SupercarForums, Sports Maserati, Club Scuderia, etc, etc. The members can judge for themselves as adults and vote with their feet, or fingers, as regards where they feel most comfortable.

I will not run this forum exactly the way Brian did. Neither will I run this forum the way Conaero and Loz run their forum. I will run this forum in my own brand of style and funk. Instead of me making big statements and gestures ... judge me for yourselves after the passage of time, and decide as you see fit.

So there are no grey areas as I would not wish to mislead anybody, here are the facts – this is a commercial forum, frequented by Supercar enthusiasts, free of charge to use. I am not a Maserati aficionado. I am not someone who is a chat forum post veteran. To claim otherwise would be a lie. I am turned on by many super sports cars. I like jam, not marmite, and prefer shoes not trainers.

If you want to post on the site in a genuine spirit please feel free to do so. Loz, Conaero, if you are happy with the above drop me a mail and you’ll be back in your accounts before Eastenders starts, and we’ll go from there. Simples.

Peace and Love to you all.

Jamie

Ps.  I will defo be getting to an event(s) this season so I look forward to putting some names to faces. And for those of you who have yet to figure out that I don’t take myself too seriously I will leave the final word to one of the world’s great political Statesman –

New owner in - old issues still around, it seems.
Let's give the bloke a chance before any judgements are passed.
By the way, hello and thanks for taking this on.

Welcome Jamie,

I'm not here for the politics and I know that for any site, whoever is the admin, even when all's running smooth , it can be a thankless task.

So, best of luck, thanks for taking it on and I hope one and all enjoy the positive aspects of this fine forum hereon.

Welcome back Loz, long time no hear.  How's the fleet?  You must have a dozen Masers on the drive by now surely?
