I have had good results from the standard comparison web sites.  I have never found a "one size fits all broker" who can give everyone a good deal and you generally need to find someone who specialises in your specific area of risk be that car, location, age or motoring indiscretion.
I needed to ensure 2 cars with only one NCB and Business Use on one car (not the Mas!) and found that Churchill did a great deal on multi car policies.
Give Go compare and Compare the Market web sites a crack and see what you get, unless you are a relatively bad risk (which you don't seem to be) you should get a good spread of policies to choose from.  Once you find a few promising policies, give them a call (if they don't call you first) and negotiate as you should get further reductions.

a-plan for me.  i had issues with go compare.after retrieving the various quotes i was directed to the cheapest who would subsequently not honour the price quoted.no details had changed they just wouldn't offer the policy without an additional £40 or so.

regards

rob

Strange, I had the opposite experience.  After viewing the quotes, I got instant phone calls from the insurers asking me what my best quote was.  They then reduced their quotes and were falling over each other for the business.  I suppose it may have been the timing (pre crunch), but I ended up with a policy with a major insurer that cost me little more than my BMW330Ci, which was the only financial pleasant surprise my 3200 has given me thus far!

Thats exactly what I ended up with.  I cancelled my BMW insurance and used my full NCB to insure the Maserati - cheapest quote was Churchill.  I then shopped around and eventually called Churchill and asked for a multi car quote.  I ended up paying just under £400 for the 3200 with full NCB and about the same for the 330ci with no NCB.  I'll be interested top see how the BMW premium decreases next year when I start earning NCB on that car.

btw, just renewed with admiral for 650 fully comp with the GF on (30, 8 years no claims) for the GS. - renewal was 950 but after running a new quote on the website & calling them up they knocked off the difference.. criminal that they would have charged me the thick end of twice as much but not a bad price in the end.

Hello All,

Just bought my first 3200GT Manual and was quoted £680 with £500 excess from Admiral. I am 40yrs young with full no claims. When I questioned the quote they advised me to add  my wife as a named driver and the price dropped to £420 with £500 excess. I don't think she will be getting in the drivers seat though!
