I don't think there is any need to translate this..........

The car will not be called GT but Gran Turismo in honor of the 1947st firts Maserati Stradale.

If you look close at the alloys, they repeat the famous Tridente!!!

I know some people have been worried about Maserati going away from Ferrari control but with cars that look like this one they can stand head and shoulders with the best. Ferreari gave Maserati the lift it needed....no wonder there have been some price cutting on the Gransport lately.

I'm sure it will not be to everyones taste, if we all liked the same life would be boring, but IMHO I think it is the perfect step forward for Maserati...well done

Very Pretty indeed but is there more to come? This car is launched with the current engine by the looks V8 4.2 litre 405 CV / BHP so probably on the current 4200 platform. A face lift for a couple of years to boost sales until they launch on the Alfa platform?

The Alfa 8C has 4.7 litre, 444bhp, V8. Maybe Ottar will have this super looking car for £30K sooner than he thinks! After the launch of a new model which is not an extreme face lift?

Meanwhile I can't afford it either!

Interior looks too BMW for my liking.  Exterior is very AMV8, but lovely all the same.

Handsome and muscular, a bulls-eye in my books.

Will have one in a couple of years, the money is not the problem, I want all the gremlins sorted before I buy, but have one I will.

Crackerjack!

Can I be different and say I'm not convinced by the styling? Too much of a mish-mash between curved surfaces, flat ones (e.g. around wheel arches) and angular bits, and the nose looks a bit out of proportion to me. Rear three-quarter view looks better, but I'm not struck on the shape of the lights.

I'm hoping it will look better in the flesh, and I expect a test drive may change my opinion, not that I'm in a position to buy one until about 2020!

Glad to see that Maserati have been strong enough and bold enough to bring it though. Should be a winner!

Tasty!
Take a look at http://www.granturismoisback.com/ for more details.
It does have elements of AMV8 in it and it is also actually not far from the overall shape of the current 4200 so looks likely to use the same platform and appears to use the gransport engine e.g. the current 4.2 with the ecu and exhaust tuned to give 400hp.
The front lights and wings actually look very similar to the current ferrari 599gtb, indeed overall the lines look like they are related.
I like it, but you never can tell until you see it in the flesh.......who is up for a drive to the Geneva Motorshow?

I'm with rogh, it's not cohesive, and it looks like someone has grabbed it's "top lip" and pulled it forwards, making the headlights elongate.

I guess now that Punto's look like Maserati GT's at the front they has to change soemthing, but the lights are a bit Japanese for my liking.

Perhaps better proportioned than the old car though, just the details that jar at times.

I'm sure time and depreciation will mellow my view

I think the design is cohesive on many levels... there are boomerangs in the rear clusters, the front has the shadow of the MC12, the lights give it a lower front forward of the hunched wheel arches, very like some of the maseratis of the past and the rear three-quarter panel has a light touch of line which its predecesser never quite had... I don't like the wheels, but that said, I seem to only like Volk CE28s at the moment anyway...
