I recently bought my first Maserati, a 3200GTA. Having lurked on the site for a couple of weeks,  I thought it was about time I introduced myself.
I retired about five years ago when I turned fifty-five, and I have no regrets about doing so.  My first career was as a Learning Resources Technician in a college in Manchester. My second career was as a manager of pubs, clubs and hotels, and I travelled as far north as Kingston-U-Hull, and as far south as Mansfield.
I have wanted a Maserati ever since I saw Stirling Moss driving one when I was a child.  I hope to have a lot of fun with my 3200, and will be looking forward to attending some of the events.

If you lurked on the site for a couple of weeks before posting in late July 2011, you probably acquired your first Maserati about the same time as me.

Status: offline 		Good to hear there is some local ownership, I'm in Derbyshire, just coming to grips with ownership of my 3200, it's being mended at the moment, a moderate drive seems to have killed the oil pump which resulted in a lorry ride to a guy at Huthwaite (they would only take it to a garage within 10 miles), 3 weeks ownership and only 3rd time out! Hope it proves to be a little more reliable over time, still love the looks, sound and response from people, could have spent twice as much and had half as much interest, people just seem to love them.

Bad time to get a failed oil pump just before Christmas - this period is expensive enough...
Send me a PM with your location and we'll maybe get together with a few others once you're mobile again.

I keep in touch with Slatie who runs his GS Spyder from South Derbyshire way and we could find somewhere mid-way 'tween us all.
