Does anyone know if there is a kit available for the 3200. I could be tempted with an upgrade once my wishbones start to wear out a bit, or fail the Mot.

I suggested the same when I first joined the forum and was advised that there are no aftermarket products.  They could be made but the cost would be very high.  So unless things have changed over the last few months, we are stuck with OEM parts.

post here if you do find them - we are looking at £500 each for rear wishbones when the bushes go. Must be a supplier who can do good replacements. Just need guinea pig to burn out their old ones and fit the new items.
How much are bushes? could be a worthwhile "shot for nothing" if they are off the car for replacement anyway.

Any suppliers want to break into the growing 3200 market?

I know a man who can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
very reputable company with good motorsport connextions of the highest order. I have used him for bushes mud flaps engiune mount inserts etc etc for many years. in polyethylene
Either we have wishbones machined to accept bushes with an outer tube or get new bushes and inner spacers cast into existing wishbones. I will have a word!

ok as i see it the inner wishbone bushes - fanbloc - are available and priced so cant see why u need to replace wishbones. the outer joint we have seen two examples of replacement recently, both of which seem more than adequate. my man can cast polyeurethane into the void between wishbone and new inner bush to make new, in different grades- hardness's - i am trying to get a wishbone for nim to see, then get a set to do on an exchange basis. The bora rebuild in the eighties we made new inner pivots and solid two piece bushes pressed into the inner wishbone end. this would be a cheaper fix but give a harsher ride as there will be no shock absorbance between suspension side loads and the chassis.  Percect for trackdays tho!

I would guestimate the solid type bush set up at about £40/wishbone. plus fitting if required.

Did anyone move on this?

Interested in rebuilding my rear wishbones, even more so if it helps the handling.

Hi New member purchased (sept 2009) 3200 GTA 2002 with 17,600 miles FSH now extra 1k miles going in for major service & Mot. A wonderfull car I'm always smiling!

On back roads I'm hearing a rear clonk drsr over bumps guessing this could be suspension bushes.Have you any ideas.? Are these bushes available yet? who from & cost.

Also very occasionally when braking I get the red Error light flash on then goes off. The car has sports mode & Skyhook suspension. Just ordered/bought Launch Creader V in hope of identifying error.

If suspension actuator is faulty can these units not be reconditioned surely is a dc stepper motor any help appreciated.

Please repost if this is in the wrong section Regard Andrew

hi andrew and welcome

all oem bushes to the car are available. i think this thread related to the possability of aftermarket items with the ensuing price/choice benefits.

it will be interesting to see if you can read the error fault-if not it's an sd job

i know of a few people who have tried to open up the actuator . none have been successful/

Rob thanks for reply. Is it difficult to repalce these busehes? also do you know where the link is to obtain these bushes please. Does anyone have the experiance of changing the bushes?.
Can any member advise if its the motor on the actuator that normally goes wrong? or the actuator adjustment thread?. I'm assuming the light intermitantly comming on is an indication of a fault developing or with hell of a lot of luck! a loose/dirty connection.... well one can live in hope!

Regards

Andrew

hi andrew

eurospares probably your best bet for bushes.find out what is exactly worn/ wrong first, spare prices for these cars prohibit most of us from changing stuff for fun!

as to how easy they are to change-i think that depends on which ones, how much you want to do it yourself and what kit you' got. a press and ramp make that sort of job bearable.

plenty of info on actuators on this forum and while i do not personally know anyone who hasn't just ended up replacing theirs you may be interested in this

There is a guy in the US who can re-con your actuators...do a search on here, think it was corvette who use the same systems.
