Hello Folks

Once we get through this rubbish weather and Autumn starts to beckon, anyone for a meet-up in mid/north Derbyshire or South Yorkshire one Sunday afternoon at a suitably-scenic location [hopefully with some refreshments as we talk Maserati and admire each others' cars] ? I live near Glossop so it's fairly easy to get down into the Derbyshire Dales or the Derwent Valley, and I drive a 4200 CC in Argento Luna, one of the last from 2005.

Let me know via the Forum and we'll see what can be arranged - except the weather...

I'm up for a meet.  I've been thinking for a while (since being offered a chance to see the Alfa 4C at Goodwood) that there should be more things happening in the Midlands :)

I'm South Derbyshire so mid to north Derbyshire would suit me best.

Hello Slatie

Could you make it up as far as Ladybower/Bamford area?

We have Dean from Sheffield area I think and me from Glossop area so possibly somewhere in-between us...

I'm away for a couple of days but will suggest a date once we have agreed a suitable location.

PS is that a Spyder I see on the left?

Cheers
Paul

Yes.  Wife and I would be up for a trip to D eerbyshire or South Yorks on a Sunday as long as there is not a Grand Prix on early afternoon. I live in Cheshire about 10 miles from Glossop.  Somewhere like Chatsworth might be a good place to meet although it can get busy on a Sunday.  I have a 3 year old 4.2 Quattroporte originally from JCT600 in Leeds or Bradford and am going to Dorset in it tomorrow.

I'm trying to get a few owners together to support the Donna Louise Trust day in Stafford on Saturday 17th September if that's of interest to you?

Last year's details are here:

Once I have more information, I can let you know.

Regards

David

Hello again Folks

Been way for a few days, so apols for delay. For F1 fans like me and Slatie, we have Monza on 11th Sept and Singapore on 25th, but the 18th September remains clear.

Any takers for an early-afternoon meet-up in the picture-perfect village of Hathersage, right in the centre of the Peak National Park approx 7 miles west of Sheffield?

There are a few pubs/coffee shops plus a hotel on the main street so I might be able to arrange some special parking if there are enough Maserati [plural] to make a splash.

I'd love to see a Boomerang 3200 plus a couple of the older models turn up too so if you're out there.... get in touch soon via the Forum.

Cheers
Paul

Hi Kookaburra

Argento Luna is my favourite colour. Had to settle for second best.

Derbershire on the 17th or 18th would be good for me. I'd only be able to do 1 day though.

Hello Patrick and thanks for posting

The meet-up would have to be on Sunday 18th since my teenage son has a Lamborghini experience [hisss...] birthday driving treat on the 17th, so I'll be there with him.

So we're looking like two 4200CC's, one GranSport, one Gransport Spyder and a QP - not a bad line-up - should bring the village to life a bit...

Any others out there with a different Maserati model they'd like to bring along - MC12 anyone?

Cheers
Paul

Hello Steve

It would be great to have you join us at Hathersage on 18th Sept with your 3200 Coupe - a rare beast compared with my 4200CC.

You're another local member I see - based Sheffield, so these Maserati ARE all over the north really - we just don't see them very often out and about.

You don't have that elusive MC12 by any chance...?  Worth a try...

Another local here, well just over the hill in Holmfirth! Haven't got my Maserati yet but if everything goes according to plan with the independent inspection, should have it in a few weeks. Would come on the 18th anyway without, but I will be over on the Ring being co-pilot to a good friend in his V12 DB7!

Hello Michael

Holmfirth is a great drive over from Longdendale and we sometimes take the 4200 up onto the top of Holme Moss of an evening just for the thrill [and the sound with both windows down  ].

It would be great to have you come along and join us at Hathersage as a pre-owner, if that's the correct term. What are you planning to buy, and I guess we'd also be interested to know why you've chosen Maserati over Aston-Martin?

For everyone - I'll be sending out some information including location and time during next week, once we have a weather forecast for the 18th.

Cheers till then

As said, I'll be over in Germany at the Nurbergring, but would be nice to meet up with like minded owners when I get my 4200 CC. I live in Holmbridge, so Holme Moss is my local hill climb! Test drove today and main dealer inspection early next week, service and MOT and she will be mine. She's a sebring blue with beige interior, 2002 but only 2 owner and less than 11,500 miles! My mates V12 DB7 is nice, but too many ford parts for me. They are still over 20k the last V12 7's too. Cheers Mike

Dear All

Let's hope this forecast storm weather blows through before next weekend. So far we have interest from a 3200GTA, 4200 Coupe, 4200 Cambiocorsa, a GranSport, GranSport Spyder and a QP - that's about 30.7 litres of V-power - nearly as much as a Spitfire I think [although that was a V12]. Does anyone have a time preference? I was thinking early PM with an option to grab a late lunch for those travelling more distance than me? Looking forward to meeting some like-minded Maserati-fans on Sunday...

Cheers
Paul

Just to Check...

Is it still Hathasage (I never could spell it!).  Would it be worth saying where, the Outside cafe for example?  Unless someone say otherwise that's where I'll head for. They make a good cuppa.

Early PM sounds an excellent idea.

See peeps then.

Dear Maserati Fans

I'm proposing to be at Hathersage, Hope Valley, Derbs around 13:30 on Sunday with my 4200CC containing me and two sons [wifey works on Sundays so we can get a move-along].

There's a nice low-walled parking area just above the NatWest Bank on the Main Street, outside Colemans Deli, or the Bank owns some off-street parking just before it which should be OK to use on a Sunday when they're closed. If all else fails, we can follow Slatie's suggestion and try to park up by the Outside Store down the Main Street on the opposite side.

Hoping to see as many Tiffosi Maserati and their machines as possible, and looking forward to some car chat...
