Hi Klive,
When on the homepage, if you click 'Since Last Visit' via 'Latest' on the navigation bar, a results page will be generated showing thread titles:
- The results generated will be a listing of threads that have seen activity (be they posts or creation) throughout the forum, since you were last on the site.
- A thread title, on the results page, when clicked will not necessarily take you to the first post made on that thread, or the last. Instead you will be redirected to the thread - with the page scroll adjusted - to the point from when you were last on the site. The idea being that if for example there is a thread that has been running for a year with multiple pages, and has seen some activity recently since you were last on the site, by clicking the generated link, you will be taken to the point on those pages when you were last on the site. And then you can read the posts as you normally would, from that point onwards.
- All the other 'Latest' links results work in the same way.
- Next week we shall be adding a marker on the generated posting pages to designate when you were last on the site.

What I can do is see if we can alter things so that when you hover over a thread title (on the generated 'since last visit' list pages) it displays the first post from 'since last visit', and you can decide if you want to read on. If I can do that I will let you know. Not 100% of what you want but please bear in mind we have to build the site with the needs of the medium-high speed broad band user in mind.
