I'll be there as part of the Team Sferia (Reg's Biturbo) support crew!

Not participating myself - just watching, kicking tyres, taking pics etc.

See you there,

Roger

See you there Roger.  I should be in the Lancia.

And I'll see you there too Scot.  Btw which car has 246 bhp per ton?  Assume both the CSL and the cup must be close to that and out of interest how do they compare?

Hi Rich !
It's the Cup! I beleive it is the highest power to weight ratio of any road going Maser!
The CSL is about 255
The main diff between the two cars is the 10 years of tecnology the CSL just puts the power down so well its another class.
What with no lag ect. and the G it creates around a track there really is not much too touch it. But saying all that the cup still has much better steering feel. If it rains on Sat your 'Grale will have the most fun! I just sold mine! Funny it seems Ghibli II's and 'Grales seem too compliment each other well. I know 2 other people with the same!

See you on Sat!

"Funny it seems Ghibli II's and 'Grales seem too compliment each other well. I know 2 other people with the same!"

They do don't they, I've always loved them both, can't believe I've actually ended up with either of them!
What did you have, didn't happen to be a Giallo did it?
I know someone else that has just sold a mint Evo 1 and got a lovely Ghibli GT (John McCall), who do you know with both I may well know them?

Btw what about the MC12 power to weight ratio?  Surely that must have just beaten the cup's?  But I guess it only just passes as road going

You may well know my 'Grale; it's the Racing Technologies car masterminded by Peter Ward.  Used to be owned by Alan Temple (LMC commitee) and was featured in AutoItalia a few years back.  At the last best guess it has a mere 233bhp per ton and 244 lbs/ft per ton, transmitted of course by 4wd but with suspension set up to eleminate understeer (mostly) and hence four wheel drift.  So if it does rain, I'll be the one going sideways and possibly backwards (haven’t really driven the car in 5 months!), maybe followed only by you - assuming you have the Michelin CUP tyres

I'm really looking forward to it, especially as I can't do Goodwood usually, due to noise restrictions.

That is one serious 'Grale!
Your right about the Enz-sorry MC12 it's 437! But it don't count in my books!

John Connor has a A Cup and a 'Grale the other guy I met at a Auto Italia day but can't remember his name!

Mine was a ferrari yellow 1 with 8,000 miles on the clock! It was like new. Sad to get rid really.

Hi Scot
I had to put down both, as there is the possiblity that I may have to bring the Ghibli.
The 'grale is in the garage and we have been waiting for a part for two weeks with regular promises that it will arrive "tomorrow"
Anyway it should arrive today, meaning I'll be able to pick up the car tomorrow night ready for Saturday morning, it's very tight!  As ever there are still things to do to it, booking into the retrimmer shortly for some work and new parts on the way, but I feel like i actually need to drive the thing!

I saw your 'grale advertised actually, why did you sell? Did you ever get over to Evocorner?

Yeh I posted a bit on there, found it a bit aggressive at times!

Loved the car but had a storage issue and went though a bit of a old cars a trouble mental breakdown!
(I had just restored a Kyalami and had blown so much cash it makes me weep) So I bought a Panda.
Now that is a perfect city car but I'm now in need of more power hence the Trophy. OMG what a car reminded me of the 'Grale as soon as i went round the first roundabout of the test drive. So planted and the steering feel is amazing for a fwd.
I know it sounds like sacrilege to have a renault instead of a 'Grale but it really is that good a drive and I need it for every day.

ONLY TWO DAYS TO GO!!!!

Scot

You got that right.  Typical responses to any post:

Which Cup was yours at Stanford hall?  I hear you are doing a write up for the Trident, and some how Andy Heywood has found out I'm going to Goodwood and has asked me to do a write up of my own for the Trident....I wonder how?

Yes, it'll be good to get something into Trident - poor old Andy ends up writing a lot of the articles himself - he's always looking for new contributors.

I'll be there taking pictures of you guys zooming about - so we can add them in to your words if you like Rich.

And thanks for the offer of a ride, Scot and Reg, but I'll stay on two feet if you don't mind. I'm not a good passenger (no disrespect to your driving!), and I can concentrate on the photo taking that way, providing the weather holds up. I see that you need a mounted camera for in car shots anyway.

See you there guys.

I remember that one well Scot.  The seats are just like mine (in the 'grale) only a different colour.  Think they are a fantastic idea in the Ghibli, the seats have never been that good, and they look the part too.

See you tomorrow,   (just picked up the Lancia, still not 100%, but getting there!)

Hi Roger,
How can I see the pics you took (understand you took 500+!!!), and do you know if anything interesting happened after I left (4ish).  Or in fact has anyone got anything interesting from the day?  I already have a few stories to include in my write up.

Btw way I did look for you to say goodbye but couldn't find you anywhere.

Rich,

Who told you 500? 755 was the true figure!!!!!!

I'm busy going through them -overall rather disappointing. While you guys were pushing the limits on the track, I was doing so with zoom lens and poor light, and I was experimenting a bit. (That's my excuse anyway). However there are some acceptable pics in there, I think I've got some of every car that was out on track. I'm concentrating on Masers first so I can send Henry a brief report and pics for the club forum.
Then I'll extend to all cars and send you a selection - be a few days yet I'm afraid as I'm busy with other things, like work!
I don't see any conflict between what goes on club site and what ends up in Trident, but I'll speak to Henry about it.
Cheers
Roger
I think you missed me when you left, about 4? because I was still up at Madgwick snapping.

Anyone know whose the black Shamal was?

Just so I can identify it for my report to Henry?

Thanks

Was not on the attendee list Roger.  But it looked like it was really motoring up the start/finish straight!

P.S.  Think i've just about finished the report for the trident.  Just need the pics
