I had a rare feeling tonight....one that made me almost sad that I don't have rug-rats just yet.

Looking through the Autotrader, the QP's seem to have become very reasonably priced all of a sudden.  Mid-30's gives you the option on a handful with decent miles on.  Is it just me, or is that a phenomenal car for the money?

I really hope they don't nosedive a devalue what is a simply spectacular car (already next in line after a GS :))

Apologies Loz, I didnt see that.  Yeah, that does look like good value but high miles, as stated in your thread.  The one that stood out to me was the one at Moorside with 44k on!  Sensible miles and probably still buyable at sub 30k.  Lovely colour ext/int too....you'd look a wealthy fella in that (though we all know you might not be for long! :))

These guys have had a couple of Masers of late.  They've had at least two Nero/Avorio 4200's, one the holy grail as far as I was concerned.

Trouble is it is huge!
I have a big garage, but that would take all the space up and I just can't park it on the drive.  I love the qp, but it is massive, until I'm in a mansion with extensive private grounds and triple (at least) garage, I can't consider one......much ;)

QP's look like they are amazing value, its what has led me to this site, seriously considering one at the moment. From what I have read the reliability is good and having drove one in 2004 they are an amazing drive. Does anyone know were there any major glitches in the very early 2004 models as happens with a new version car? In the states they only got them in 2005 and they seem to be quite reliable. Anyone know were there any major problems fixed before they got them?

I got one as a courtesy car when the GS was in getting some work done. Was very impressed and if I was looking for a new family car that would be top of the list,  although don't think the dog would be happy in the boot

Is it really?
That is surprising!  Why does it look so large, i think it's cos I'm still used small cars, Lancia, new civic, ghibli, Alpina, corrado, m3 etc etc
The QP or anything of that nature is on another level!

I know it's huge because I need to park it Paco

Barely fits in my parking space. The 4200 fits considerably better :)

IIRC they are only 4 seaters too, which is a bit greedy

Just been checking prices - quite tempting!!

Yep, CLS is a strict 4 seater.....where the 5th seat would be, there's a glove-box type thing!  Cracking car though....I ran one in Sept 05 when they'd just come out, AMG kit, and I loved the fact they were so rare at the time.  Didnt keep it long enough to give a decent review, but was impressed overall.

If I had a car that big I think I'd have to be able to put the kids in it really.   Better get a QP I guess .  I could keep the 500 in the boot for emergencies

The thing is I wouldn't be buying it as a family car, dont even have mates I'd want to put in the back  I just never really liked smaller sports cars, the QP is a cracking drive and a really big classy car. If anyone wants to go halfs on a container of tyres from india let me know, I reckon we could probably get through them in a few months...

Mickk, to reply to your earlier post I haven't seen any problems reported that seem endemic, they seem to be pretty well screwed together.  I guess the only frequent issue is the gearshift not being the most refined, but hey-ho!

I wouldn't decribe the Maser Coupé as a small sportscar though, but it is definitely smaller than a QP!

Thing is could a QP cope with my three boys without being destroyed?  They've done a good job of dismantling our S-Max, but I haven't any respect for it either

I always find straight jackets and DVD screens the way to go with my kids.
