After a lovely weekend spririted 130 mile  drive home  down to the coast, night out with the youngest lad  over at a Hove  casino, good food   ( won a few quid i might add) then another 130 mile back home to MK today ,stopped to 200yds from home to get some milk for about 5 mins. then hit the dreaded speed bumps slowly i might add came off the last one and she changes back into 1st and then nothing,no gears and the cambiocorsa light flashing. She has done this several times in the past at approx monthly intervals  , always just switched off restarted the car and all went back tom normal, but not this time, this time no noise from the F1 pump kicking in  gutted to say the leastas only a short distance from home , anyways got the car home now and will start on the diag side of things , could be relay or even pump  will let you know as soon as , cant bare the thought of no grin factor for a while so i'll probably be a right misog on here untill she has a new heart    Might even do a refurb plan on the old one as an when i have the new one in .

Regards loz

Still guess it's better to break down close to home than in Hove. Sorry to hear that bud.

Thanks Loz, don't think I could ever go away.........but........hope I will not be disowned.......but I've got myself a.....................................................
BMW M3 CSL

http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e113/Andkexige/IMGP0741.jpg

......Always wanted one and took out GS and CSL and the CSL just blew me away. The induction noise is one of the best in the business and it's one BMW that has soul. Found the gear change to be better then the GS....Also it came down to running costs and at this moment I couldn't justify the Maser running costs...I just had an Inspection11 on the CSL and it cost £750 but I will not need to service it again for two years with the mileage I do and then it will be a £120 oil service.

Saying that after I went down to Carrs in Exter last week and saw the white GS I think one will be on the drive after I've got bored with the CSL.

OK so I will take the public forum flogging now as long as I can stay and

Come on then Malc I wait with baited breath for your comments

We all know Andy , that there are cars that , are faster than massers , there are cars that handle better than massers, there are cars that are more comfortable than massers, there are cars that are a damn sight more economical than massers but cars with as much presence  eh no  well not many , in my humble opinion a couple maybe,  for sure an Aston, Bentley Spyker but all the others need to be tried and knocked off the to do list , disowned from here never mate  barracked, scorned and chastized definately   thats half the fun  take care mate

regards loz

Know what you mean Loz...Maserati has and will always be in my blood.....Maserati is not about the 0-60 time or if it has 500 bhp and can get around the Nurb ring in 1 min.....when I had the 3200 people though my numbers had come up on the lottery because it was a Maserati....No one cared how fast it was they just wanted to look at it and sit in it.....People who drive AMG's/Porsche etc never seem to understand why people choose a maserati over their cars......But we do

Well of course :)

I never understand with a million Mercs on the road why anybody would buy one and then oggle a Maser which costs less.

In the early 80's I bought a Scimitar GTE with 70k on the clock and one of my colleagues, climbing out of his brand new Fiat 3-box, asked if I'd won the pools. Now when I tell folk that you can get a good Maserati for less than a spec'd up Mondeo (albeit a newer one) they don't believe me!

LOL Loz

I've got a Pug 206 as a daily driver and mobile kennel (aka Volvo 850 estate) for the pooch. Does that mean I'll get ostracised?

Not at all , anyone who gets given a mondeo as a company car has an excuse, but someone who actually pays for one and its there only car says it all, least cortina's were a cult thing , escorts had a cosworth, even jelly mould sierra's had a 4x4 and a cosworth  but mondeo'

Hang head in shame......How you doing Steve, car going OK. I will say though that this is no ordinary BMW.

What was at Combe last week then...I was in Dartmouth all week having a break with the family..another little one on the way end of Jan so making the most of my free time at the mo before I get knee high in dirty nappy again.....would have come down to Combe if I was about.
