I thoroughly enjoy cleaning my cars, almost as much as I enjoy driving them. I am also a bit of a sucker for trying out various new products and gadgets for a bit of car cleaning. Whilst browsing through some valeting/detailing websites (yes, sad I know!) I read about snow foam and the benefits of using it. After visiting a recommended supplier's website, the wallet came out and a couple of days later I was the proud owner of some snow foam mix and a foam lance to attach to my power washer.

I've used it a couple of times to great effect, but took a couple of pics today to demonstrate:

Start with 1 dirty car (note the 2 bucket cleaning method!) :

Then fill the bottle that comes with the lance attachment with a mixture of snow foam concentrate and water. Attach this to the power washer lance:

Then the fun begins. Start at the top and cover the car with a coating of snow foam.

Leave it for 5 minutes or so, then wash off with a power washer or hose. I then wash the car (lamb's wool mitt, lamb's wool wheel brush and 2 buckets), rinse, leather etc. and the result is spotless once again:

I'd definitely recommend the snow foam as it makes it easier to shift any stubborn dirt and helps to avoid swirl marks from cleaning. I bought the heavy duty lance (fittings made from brass instead of plastic) from HERE. Worth a look around the site, there's loads more things I'm bound to buy.

What great results, but at what point do you think "I hope this is going to wash off properly?"
Also helps that you a fantastic looking example to work on too. Do you get the feeling that maybe you shouldn't sell her now?

The first time I used the foam was on the wife's car

It's taken me a long time to make the decision to sell. She's probably in the best condition ever, but the Gransport itch needs scratching and I have been told in no uncertain terms that an additional Maserati is unacceptable. I've even tried to persuade Mrs MAF (to no avail) that the 3200 is an appreciating classic and could be considered part of our pension pot.......
