Having recently purchased a 4200 Spyder i am keen to get it looking as good as possible.
I am wondering if anybody on the forum has any experience of Autoglym Cabriolet roof cleaner?

Is it any good?
Any better product?
Best way to clean it?

I used to use the Autoglym stuff on the Mohair roof on my Peugeot 306, when I got the car it was green in the corners where it hadn't been washed properly, so jet washed it with the gentle setting on the jet wash with some car shampoo mixed in, scrubbed it in with an interior scrubbin brush, (the Megauiars one) then used the AG stuff on it. After that, it was easy to keep clean and the waterproof solution you get in the kit is very good.

I use it all the time on our customers cars , oddly enough just used it on a 360 spider this last couple of days .
The cleaner in the kit is basically a living culture , it eats the bacteria that causes the hoods to go green . you can soak it and leave it overnight if the hood is quite bad , the sealant is also very good , should last a good 12 months , although we do re-do our cars every 6 months

If you spray the cleaner on , then agitate it left and right , up and down with the course sponge provided (mind your paintwork though ) I normally then just wash the car as normal , so do the roof with your washmitt etc , rinse / jet wssh off and dry.
Spray plenty of sealant on (about half the bottle in total over the roof ) , mop up any overspray off the paintwork with a damp microfibre and leave to dry

Hope that helps
Dave
