Hi, im new to this forum and im in need of some advice.  Im asking on behalf of my father as he currently owns a 2005 Quattroporte.  He has had the car now for around a month and has had some niggles with the car, but owning a 3200 GT before, I think he is use to the Itailan flare for engineering!!  His problem started on sunday. He heard a ticking noise from behind the instrument cluster whlist the car was being driven, which from memory was a similar noise on his 3200, but was told by JCT600 Brooklands that it is a temp. sensor and is perfectly normal....is this true? His second problem was when the car was left for a few hours, he got back into the car and started the engine, to see the clock (central to the airvents) to be whizzing around for a while till it eventually stopped!  Just wondering if anyone has an idea as to why it is doing this??

Many thanks in advance.

Sam.

Don't know about the ticking but I had a 2006 Quattroporte as a courtsey car for a month and the clock did exactly the same thing, I found it quite amusing.  It still worked though and did nothing to distract me as I set off to work every day with a big grin plastered all over my boat.

Many thanks for replying.  Just seems a little strange as to why the clock seems to spin round?? As you mentioned, it works perfectly and its amusing to watch it...I recall my dad tutting and saying, 'Maserati's hey?'

Sam.
