Hi everyone,

Hope you are well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have supported MaseratiForum and myself over the past 2 years, and respected the need to evolve the site to ensure it can stand on its own two feet for the foreseeable future. The current platform, structure, and membership base will allow just that. We have had to rebuild the site extensively over the past 2 years in every sense, but now the future is secure on solid foundations – which is quite a different situation to when I took over. Again, thank you to those who supported the forum on the road to stability and longevity. I believe we have the largest membership base now of any European based Maserati chat forum - and long may that continue

Alas, due to my work commitments, and like my predecessor Gavin, I find I am no longer able to devote the time to participate or manage the site that is required. As such, I have accepted an offer from another party to transfer ownership of MaseratiForum. They will make themselves known in due course, once their slightly updated version of the site is ready to go live, as I understand it. I will be holding the fort as it were till that point.

It has been a pleasure conversing, laughing (and sometimes contentiously debating) with you guys, and on the whole I have found it a rewarding and fulfilling experience. I wish you and your families all the best for the future and please do continue to enjoy the site and its like-minded members. Thank you again guys and happy motoring to you all

Kind Regards,

Brian

Brian,

Sorry to hear you're moving on.

However, aside from the personal sentiments, I hope the new owners allow MaseratiForum to continue to provide the level of information it has done so in the past.  I wish I'd known it was for sale!

All the best, hopfully you'll stick around to contribute to the site.

Cheers
Woody

Well, I cant say I am surprised.

I just hope that this forum finds its way back into the hands of an enthusiast, and hopefully said owner can turn around this forums demise.

All the best in your future venture Brian, my views are in now way personal, its just you upset too many people along the way and hence the need for the dejected to start their own forum.

I look forward to meeting the new owner, and have the gut feeling that we already know that individual.

Long live maseratiforum!

Dear Brian,

Thanks for all your efforts over the years. A difficult and I'm sure, at times, a thankless task. I wish you all the best for the future and look forward to the continuation of the Forum.

Regards,

Richard

Brian

As we all know, forums can be uncomfortable bedfellows and they sometimes give more pleasure than pain to their owners and administrators. What they all have in common, though, is an ability to bring people together to discuss, debate, and hopefully resolve issues concerning the main topic which in this case is Maserati. This forum has succeeded in doing so, and long may it continue.

Thank you for keeping the forum alive and for finding a successor to carry on the good work, and good luck whichever way life takes you.

Best regards

Phil H

Brian,

I haven't been a member long, but have derived an awful lot of help from it. I also pick up that there have been some difficult times. When you are a the centre of things, these things inevitably spill over into the rest of your life.

I am sure your decision has been difficult and well considered and I wish you the best of luck in your future. Enjoy the extra time you will soon find yourself with - time really is one of life's luxuries.

Best wishes,

David

Brian,
Thankyou for your amazing support through thick and thin! You have held up through adversity, with a very good sense of balanced judgement, with which we thank you. Thanks so much, and best regards in your future projects. You will be sadly missed, but I hope you will continue to visit and contribute to our and your very inspired forum. Thanks again from me and many other members.

So , so  pleased that this forum still exists , so much info has been contributed  and so many   people  have enjoyed what it has to offer,  would have been sacrilage to have let it go completely downhill , thanks Brian for handing it over to another custodian before  its complete demise, a very  sensible thing to do,

Very interested to hear from the new owner , as Matt stated i think there's a good possibilty that they are known to us , look forward to  contributing once again and enjoying the hospitality

warm regards Loz

Being relatively new to Maseratis and the Forums [Fora?] I must say that the 'original' place was invaluable to me. Having just got used to the 'players' and the wealth of info. on here I was surprised to see another lot set up to do the same thing - with largely the same people. Being non-political I could not see the point of 2 set-ups - I'll leave that to others to explain. As both sites have developed I have formed opinions on how they have progressed - all I'll say is that one site appeals more to a 'chat-room' audience.
Thanks, Brian, for your efforts and here's hoping for continued success.
John.

Thanks for all your hard work and efforts Brian, I have enjoyed my time on here and found so much fantastic information contributed by all the members past and present, and guided skilfully by yourself.
Best of luck with whatever you decide to do in the future.

Hi Nig

I have no agenda at all. I do miss the fact that many of the most active forum members have moved to pastures new.
