It's the new Alfa Brera.  It looks very very close to a Maserati concept that never made it from about 18months ago called the Kubang (i think).  The main difference being that the concept Maser was going to be a luxary SUV, now it's lowered and has turned into a sports hatch come coupe for Alfa.

I think the Brera (having seen one in the flesh) is so much nicer than the Kubang (only seen pics), but Masers should be Masers, not based on or sharing floorpans and bits with something else. We'll have to see what happens I suppose.

Absolutely right Roger

The Brera is a good looking car and should be good for Alpha, let's hope so as it will be good for the group.

I don't think the concept of the Kubang was right for the Maserati House, but all performance manufacturers seem to want to have a 4x4 these days.

I am still aghast that just as Maserati start to get everything right and the build quality improves the rug is pulled out from underneath.

Unfortunately modern car manufaturers seem to have to share platforms/engines/drive trains to make the numbers stack up.....mind you, as a 4200 driver, its fine by me if its an engine and drive train shared with Ferarri of course but not some American lump or an Alpha floor pan.

Mind you how many Saab drivers actually know they are driving a Vectra? and is that not Alpha's competition?

It's about time the group announced it's true intentions!
